Your damn right Cal, I'm interested in your opinion bro! You are our link, our connection, our lifeline to one of the best porn companies on earth and I will always make time for your posts. So please just keep doing what you've been doing and keep us all informed of what's happening at the ANA/DIABOLIC universe!
I skimmed through that RC POV debate a few weeks ago, good stuff. I was kinda iffy on the movie too & watched quite a few before it. Once I did play it, it got constant rotations for a few days straight. It did lack Anal Sex (pretty much what I want to see), but it was still up there with some of my favs. To me it's one of those sleeper movies that you just don't appreciate at first. Hell, My 1st Time watching it, I skipped Lolly's scene (which is my fav). I've seen a handful of RLD titles and the only one I didn't like was Assault that Ass. I haven't seen a Anabolic/Diabolic movie in a really long time, so I really don't know if any of the stuff RLD's putting out surpasses them. I do know ...
"while Vince was directing for Anabolic/Diabolic his titles were Initiations, 2on1, Lewd Conduct and Nice Rack. As far as RLD looking and sounding like Ana/Dia let me just say" A Perverted Point of View, A Raincoaters Point of View, World Sex Tour, World Wide Sex, Down the Hatch, Swallow Your Pride, Up Your Ass, Black Dicks in White Chicks. If immitation is the most sincere form of flattery I've just gotta say Chris (Anabolic) and Gregg (Diabolic) are super duper over the top flattered beyond belief."- cal444
Pretty much sums up the whole Anabolic/Diabolic/Red Light District riff-raff.
I think once you get over the new kids on the block syndrome and really take an objective look at the contents you'll see it unraveling into a ugly festering pestual. Mike and I were dumbfounded by all the unfocused stuff going on there. Now that I've taken a look I can totally disregard any references compairing RLD to Anabolic/Diabolic aside from the obvious attempt to confuse the public with similar titles and boxes. The two products are so far from each other it's light years for sure. It's like I said earlier "Titles do not content make". I do have to say the DVD transfer was nice. I think they should get use to giving DVD's out free because when the buying public gets hip that's all that will be left.
Well, one could argue that Ana/Diabolic doesn't give a shit about Digital connoisseurs, because you put the same damn extras on every DVD. Wow, a photo gallery, and trailers that I have seen hundreds of times. Website info, big deal. Plus, you guys are slower than shit in getting the DVDs released, which is one other reason why I believe you don't give a shit about DVD buyers.
How many fans have requested same day releases, so that they don't have to wait a year for a DVD to come out. I'm not saying that Red Light District is superior to Ana/Diabolic, because in my mind the tops is EVIL ANGEL. If a studio were to put out better product then EVIL ANGEL, I'd give up porn forever. Don't get me wrong...
I like a lot of Diabolic's stuff, I think it is good quality, Mike John, Erik Everhard, Lex, maybe Jon Dough are four good directors at Diabolic. I like their stuff, but I absolutely hate waiting a year for a DVD. I don't buy VHS, I bought four in my life, but that was it, never again.
One could argue that RLD puts the same trailers on every DVD, but they do give some EXTRAS, such as bonus scenes, behind the scenes. Some stuff that fans might like to see.
And how can you say RLD has no direction, wasn't it not too long ago that fans complained about horrible quick cut edits on Anabolic's releases? And how Anabolic lacked good editing and directing?
Mike That the best ya got, I've noticed that the people on adult DVD are usually up on our new titles "VHS" or not. I would assume that's because the titles are strokable no matter what the format. I've also noticed lots of people saying they were buying the VHS because they wanted the title so bad they couldn't wait for the DVD. That speaks for it's self. I didn't say they had no direction I said it was unfocused I mean come on, look at it. There is so much bad I can't find the good, what is really alarming is that people who claim to be afficianados can't seem to see the difference between a well thought out product and a second rate knock off, that's frustrating. I'm a DVD guy too I work here and I wait for the releases like everyone else it's not like I don't understand. If you only buy DVD's and have only bought 4 VHS tapes aren't all of our DVD releases new to you? Even if the editing was choppy which it's not, that has nothing to do with directiion anyway.
Cal, This whole think with Anabolic and Red Light District, Is pretty funny to me, Vince or me have never said a thing negative about Anabolic or Diabolic, Sounds to me that no one has ever competed with Anabolic until now, Chris and Gregg might just be a little worried, you act like Chris and Gregg reinvented the wheel, The only one that deserves the title of reinvented the wheel is John Stagliano, he invented Gonzo not Gregg or Chris. when I was general manager of Elegant Angel, Gregg and me had many conversations about coming out with the dvds on street date. Gregg or Chris won't do it, because they want to milk every title for every cent, I understand that you have to kiss Gregg and Chris's ass because you work for them, I know you put out all the negative shit you can put out about my company, that's kool, I can live with that, Red Light District has only been in business for 8 months, and Anabolic has been in business for 10 years, I'm flattered that you speak so much about us, every title that Vince created at Anabolic, chris has someone else doing it now, so are you guys copying Vince? look Cal theres always room for something new, especially when it's good, so if I was you, I would just concern myself with putting out the best stuff I can, and do what we do, cater to the fans, because that's what its all about. every site I go to, everyone speaks highly of Red Light District, the only negative shit I read is on Lukeford.com, I ask myself why, well heres the truth, Lukeford.com is owned by Kahn Tusion who was the director of Rough Sex for Anabolic, Kahn Tusion and Chris the owner of Anabolic or good friends, see Kahn is a Contractor, actually Chris who owns Anabolic, the house he lives in, was built by Kahn Tusion, I believe Lukeford and Anabolic share the same webmaster, Vince lives in a house that was built by Kahn Tusion, see Kahn doesn't want people to know his connection to porn.
I have not seen the dvd in question here but all the other RLD titles I have seen have been pretty good and highly strokeable. I think it is only better if you have more great titles instead of less. Both companies make excellent gonzo tapes with hot women having great sex. So to all three companies just keep doing a good job, I think it also sucks that Anabolic/ Diabolic don't release dvds when they release vhs but hey that is their business and I will rent those titles but never buy them and I will continue to buy the RLD dvds I like when they come out, they do have an advantage with me in that area easily.

Cal-with all due respect, this is, after all, a forum of people who want to learn about, compare notes, and BUY adult dvd's. I used to rent tons of adult vhs, but no longer. I rarely bought vhs (4-5)-but now I BUY plenty of dvd's! It's nice that you keep us posted when your're editing a new release, but, like BIGmike says, when will I see it on dvd? RLD is new, & they still have some growing pains, but they give us what we want, new talent on dvd, & NOW, not sometime down the road when they're no longer "new". I still buy Anabolic/Diabolic-but in an increasingly smaller ratio to RLD. Hopefully the argument will end soon, when vhs goes the way of the dinosaur. In the meantime, Cal, maybe you could get the people at A/D to keep their website updated. Evil Angel has such a backlog of older movies, but at least Tricia keeps us posted on their dvd release schedule (even though I'm afraid that some will never see the light of day on dvd-just too many good movies)--Thanks---menace
I haven't seen a Diabolic/Anabolic flick in almost 6 months. No specific reason but I do know it's pretty hard to Avoid Red Light District. I'm sure you guys are still putting out good stuff but RC POV is still a great flick in my book.
While the back covers of all three companies are similar, it's obvious from Red Light's distinct logo that it is a separate company. However, I still don't understand the relationship between Anabolic/Diabolic.I agree wholeheartedly! "Performances and the ladies content make"! RPOV, as far as I'm concerned, had that.
I've read elsewhere Vince doesn't care how beautiful the women are so long as they're into the sex. I disagree. While it is important that their performances are hot, they should at least be an "8" in the looks (face and body) category. Lolly, Taylor, and August were the primary reasons I watched this dvd. This was the first POV dvd that I've purchased and I feel that I got about 60 to 75% of my money's worth (since I always discount one or scenes because I know it will not match my particular tastes).
The only other major weakness of this dvd was the bonus footage featuring Taylor Rain. I almost think that it shouldn't have been included. It was incredibly annoying when the video did not sync up with the audio!
Aside to Dion: I know you've heard this from me before, Dion, but you gotta have a compilation disc featuring her! You already have four scenes (including Cum Drippers #3). Two more and it writes itself! Maybe it can be produced during a slow week when you wouldn't otherwise have any new releases!
Aside to Cal: What's the likelihood of a Monica Sweetheart "Cum Sucking Whore" comp being produced? Everyone's talking about her like she's the next big thing!
Hey, give me a copy of Cum Drippers #3 with Taylor Rain and you've got a customer for life!

I've been trying to stay out of this pissing contest, but I'm really sick of it. Don't do it here. We welcome studio representatives to discuss product with consumers. But none of us want to get in the middle of all the political bullshit. There are other websites for that.
