Friends -

Put me down as another who has just about had it with Anabolic. I just eagerly screened "Up Your Ass 21", and wound up pissed off again.

A few beautiful girls, but as usual, far too much closeup and crotch shots for my taste, as opposed to full body, wider continuing shots of the action. And too many extended closeups on the girl's face. The editing usually seems to cut directly from the crotch to the girl's face, and then stays there forever. Yeah, we need some of that, but I rent these videos for the girl's bodies and enthusiasm and that just can't be enjoyed in closeup all the time. AAARRGHH!

And another MAJOR pet peeve that I think we've danced on before.

I HATE CHICKS LOOKING INTO THE CAMERA THE ENTIRE SCENE!!! That HAS to be as a result of direction, and it is very annoying. Especially during facials. Want the girls either enjoying themselves, or ACTING like they're enjoying themselves, and immeresed in the action. Not looking into the camera the whole time.

AAARRGHH!

I hate that. I don't think anyone wants to see a 2 and a half minute close-up of some guy's nuts bobbing up and down.

I agree with the BSD assessment. Continuous & never ending close-ups of either the female's face or the intercourse with nothing (or very little) in between is like a thorn in my side as a viewer. I think directors should realize that not every hot sex act has to be shot with a close-up each time when, in fact, you have a much sexier and better view with a wider shot. When a director is on the close-up there are often times two or three other things going on behind it that the viewer can only hear but not see. That's why I think close-ups are best when shot few & far between the hottest parts of the action. Having the female look into the camera for most of the scene takes so much realness & eroticism away from the sex. There is plenty of POV & virtual reality material out there for viewers who want to see that.

When will they ever learn? A good mix of closeups, full body shots, pans to the face, and smooth transitions are not all that hard to shoot. Oh well.

close ups are not the problem, the problem is the stactic camera work. Any camera angle (even a fullbody shot) if is shown for eternety is going to become boring after a while. ...what Ronk describe as how the camera work should be it is the ideal way of doing it. It is pretty simple and every camera guy should do. Is not rocket science after all. ....but let me tell you why you see the (close-up) cut/jumping from the girl's face to her ass. Because, they are trying to show the least posible of the guy's body. If they pan instead of cut/jumping from close up to close up they'll show more of the guy. ...So, THINK twice next time before any of you say: <<<I don't want to see the guy's ass, The less I see the guy's body the better>>>. Porn producers take those statements in absolut terms and then come up with all that shitty editing in anal/dp scenes. ..or worst, camera guys showing the action from the side only for about 10 minutes and not once a decent (frontal) close up. ..EXTREMES are always BAD!

Haven't seen any new wicked releases but I happen to disapprove of the "Bring em young" series on merit that it was just guy's pumping away at girls. Does it seem that to much directorial bias is allowed in porn flicks, jules jordans films rock but when the camera follows an ass for 5 minutes dragging itself along the flooor does anyone else think it's to much. Directors need space to work but why indulge their private fantasies do they bring in so many buyers?.
