maybe i am just watching on a really big tv.... porn made in the last 5 years it seems for the angles they are shooting they have the camera \ zoom too close. someprobably has to do with more and more pov being shot. still seeing a girls face smooshed up against the screen is not the most flattering angle often times. i have been saying for years less and less directors actually have any technical skill at shooting. porn is still art after all. so is it just terrible camera work \bad angles , or for some reason is it a thing to have a close up shot the entire scene ?
I think it all depends on the studio and the director. I personally prefer the scenes that can get the full body of the performers, I'm not a big fan of scenes like Evil Angel, where the camera is a few centimeters from the girl ass or pussy. Currently I really digging scenes from Jules Jordan and Digital Playground.
I commented this in a previous thread (can't remember which one) so I will do it again. That is one thing in porn I hate is close ups. I already know what a dick going into a pussy looks like. I want to see expressions without the close up of faces. I want to see wide angle shots. I want to see how their bodies move when they are fucking. That gets me going. One of the reasons I can't stand POV shots (and personally I find POV Overrated as fuck) is because of the close ups. I stated this before and I will do so again. POV is something that you can easily fuck up if you are not careful with how you have the camera is pointed or situated in your hand. If you are not talented enough to shoot POV like a site like MomPOV does do not attempt it. If it is a scene where the cameraman is getting no action there is no need for all the close ups. I prefer for scenes to be shot on a tripod anyway.
i was specifically watching evil angel videos tonight before i made this thread. one of my favorite all time studios for sure but the latest stuff has way too much pov and close ups for my liking.

yep. i agree with all of what you said here. i would be surprised to see many other users say anything too different. everyone has their own opinions though. its kind of funny how lately in porn the direction in general seems to be going against what porn fans actually like. i made a thread a few years back about how scenes have become ridiculously long and 90 percent of people in the thread agreed.
In an average length scene there's plenty of scope for varying the camera shots. I'm a full-length body shot fan, but it's quite nice to see a close up first with the camera panning out to include everything. The one thing I find particularly irritating is facial close ups. I want to see the girl's face, but I also want to see what it is that's happening down below to turn her on.
This is the reason I dislike all Mike Adriano scenes. Way too many long close ups that make a scene unwatchable in my opinion. Even in the old BangBros days you can tell he directed the BTRA scenes he appeared in as they have long boring close ups (along with his trademark brightly colored props)
Don't watch them then, and be grateful that he puts in the brightly colored props to warn you. No one is forcing you. See, all your problems just went away. =) I happen to like his close-ups, and by zooming in on the girls' assholes Mr. Adriano solve some of my problems: i.e. not getting close enough. If you read this Mr. Adriano, please spend some time figuring out how to get even closer. =)
Yeah this is a major annoyance to me. The camera guy puts the camera down an inch away from the girl and leaves to have a p.b & j sandwich. After a post meal smoke he comes back to the girl to pick up the camera. Job done. I have no issue with the occasional extreme closeup but damn. You're kinda robbing me when I pay to see her work but you're not letting me see all of her. Back up the goddamn camera and let me see the entire female form in all it's glory.
^^ Since the thread is asking for opinions about whether there're too many close ups, it's a bit tetchy of you to dismiss someone's comments when they take the trouble to contribute. It isn't only fans of close ups who can comment. He didn't say Mike A can't have close ups; just that there should be a bit more variety.
