I wish lupe all the luck in the world in her musical career. But i have this sinking suspicion that she may have to return to porn from time-to-time. Sure she may have some early success. But will her musical success hinge on the novelty of her being a porn star? And when the novelty wares-off. I hope shes still keeping porn in mind to fall back-on. Because ive heard the music. And its really not that good. Its not awful by any means. I have heard tons worse. But musically its just really generic run of-the-mill dance & techno-pop. With nothing setting it apart from the rest of the pack. Its just her porn affiliation getting her word of mouth.
i saw this song on a pop up and was like dafuq is this the same lupe. so i guess her legal difficulties was resolved?

Does anyone really give a shit about her music "career"? She was investigated for employing underage kids in Columbia. Was there ever resolution to these charges? Anyone? She deserves to be deported, if she hasn't already been, not to be glorified on this forum.
Well, presumably her legal issue must have been resolved or else I cannot see her breaking her internet silence the way she has. When that story that she was wanted broke in March 2011, she completely dropped off of the internet, and stayed off of any social media under her stage name for probably around a good 18 months, roughly, until one day she was back, but promoting her music video. I don't know what happened with her legal case, I'm sure she doesn't want to talk about it, and she may not even be allowed to talk about it with media, legally. I just can't understand why she would have broken her internet silence to start promoting a music career if she was still in any legal jeopardy. I also believe that an indictment is not a conviction, and I believe in innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law, without any exceptions for different crimes.
I can't wait for her to get back on Howard Stern promoting whatever she had to promote. She was bar none the (unintentionally) funniest porn star they ever had. It's too bad for Lupe that they had an impersonator who could exactly mimic her; so she's kind of never really left the show. But having the real one back would be awesome; regardless of what she's promoting...
I haven't heard her music or even knew she was trying to do music but I think it's safe to say that no matter how good she is it will probably be seen as a novelity act. Unfortunately, at least here in the US people tend to want to only believe most performers can only do one thing. Anytime a singer tries to act or an actor tries to sing it's met with ridicule. I heard a bit of Julia Bond's rapping and some of what I heard sounds about as good as the stuff I hear on the radio but because she's who she is people will automatically dismiss it. As far as Lupe coming back to porn...I'm a fan of Lupe but only of her early stuff that wasn't the barely legal stuff she did for the Euro studios. I'm not into the "young" stuff and really don't like the stuff she's done with Evan. I'm pretty sure if her legal problems are behind her but I think Evan would try to go for a big contract of some sort from VIVID or WICKED and insist on being the guy in every scene with her. I'm sure she has a big enough fan base of people who wouldn't mind that but I'd rather see her do stuff her the Gonzo studios or at very least DIGITAL PLAYGROUND doing Evan-free scenes.
I wonder how many people on this forum will have any clue of what you just wrote. I do and I don't think Lupe will ever come close to having anything like Andrea. She truly was one of a kind.
Andrea was awesome. "More, More, More" is one of my favorite songs. That one song of Lupe's is nowhere near as good IMO. My guess is won't be a big hit and a well-remembered song like Andrea's best-known song is. But time will tell.
Little Lupe made an appearance at Revolver's Golden Gods Awards a few weeks ago and she looked as juicy as ever. But unfortunately she was still with Evan Seinfeld... Edited by - Asmodeus on 5/21/2013 1:39:15 AM
^I guess it's true that anyone using auto-tune can sing. I'm glad that she has a career(at least pseudo if nothing else) outside of porn but I know I'm not going to be looking for those tunes because I didn't last more than a minute.
I like both songs. They're both okay for the type of music they are and the videoes are on par with the usual type of videos that go with these sort of songs. If I heard these songs on the radio or just ran across the videoes without knowing they were done by an ex-pornstar they wouldn't stick out in my mind as being any worse than the songs done by "real" singers. But people are going to automatically put them down because it's an ex-pornstar and because they don't like EDM music regardless of who does it.
^I don't mind that the songs were sung by an ex-pornstar anymore than I cared about Rebecca Black's Friday song because I find that both are subpar singers who would have no singing career if it wasn't for auto-tune. Mind you the same thing can be said for Britney Spears and her inability to carry a tune but that hasn't stopped her from making millions. The simple fact is that I simply didn't enjoy the songs but if she's able to make a living doing that then more power to her.
