My ex- is "str8" -- well, if he wants to believe that, who am I to argue? Regardless.

He had gotten a job in a gay bar because it paid well and he needed the money. (It didn't hurt his tips any that he was a major military hunk.) And he had no trouble refusing the hundreds of invitations from an adoring public. Then I threw him for a loop. I ignored him.

He'd flash me his Pepsodent smile when handing me a drink (tonic w/a twist - hold the gin) and I'd say, "Thanks." And ignore him. He made a concerted effort to get my attention, and I ignored him. Finally, he quit trying and we began talking. He'd "park" at the corner of the bar where I was sitting. Then I heard that we were an item: he was telling other customers that he was unavailable instead of professing his "straightness" -- it was better for tips that way (and the customers tried all the harder to get his attention, including with bigger tips). He never actually told anyone we were going together, but there I was and that's where he parked -- the coward!

One night near closing, he announced that he was going for breakfast after the bar closed and asked if I wanted to go along. I said, "Yes." Afterwards, in his jeep (macho man image, you understand) on the ride to my apartment (I was a city boy, no car) he announced that I could give him a blow job if I wanted. (We'd already had the conversations about men giving better blow jobs than women and about that there was no way he was ever gonna try it with a man.)
