As far as renting, I haven't used on-line stores.

However, I purchase from XRentDVD. XRentDVD's service and speed in fullfiling orders has been great. The few times it has been necessary to email, I got prompt replies. Even though I haven't rented on-line, I bring this up because in the past there have been several threads in the forum that have given Xrent very high marks for their service and performance in the rental area.
