And even from a specific member. For example if I want to see all posts by "HeyNow" on 10/2/03 or whatever date? Of course this would be merely for historical purposes and (probably undesirably) once in a while to bump something from 10 years ago.
I guess I'd really want to see the topics that were STARTED (for example) this week 10 years ago. It's a question that shouldn't be asked but I am asking it anyhow.

The search doesn't currently support this but it would be fairly trivial to add it. It already uses a date range, it's just that one end of the range defaults to the current date/time.
Would this be too confusing if it was added to the current search?

I don't think it would confuse the minority of users who actually use the site's full search function.

While we're at it, how about searching for all posts by a user within a given thread?
ex: I want to find all the posts by a particular porn girl inside her very lengthy thread.
And maybe searching for words within a thread title started by a specific user?
ex: I know a thread was started by user x, and I think it had 'anal' in the title, but if I just search for threads with 'anal' in the title, there are way too many to scroll through.
All of these could be located below the usual search options in some kind of 'advanced' search box, or even in a secondary tab, so that only the people who won't be confused by such things would use it.

I like the idea of a secondary tab.
I'll look into it.

It would be nice if you could make it possible to easily search for instances where an uploaded photo has been used in threads.

Do you mean any photo in a thread or search for threads with specific photos?

I would like to be able to select a photo from the list of ones I have uploaded in the Files and Photos part of my profile, and find all posts where I (or anyone, I guess) have used that photo.
The ability to generate a thumbnail gallery of all my uploaded photos would be nice, too.

It's so much easier than you think.
First, go to your Profile > Images > Files and Folders page.
Select the picture you want to find.
Go back up to the top of the page, where you can see that picture's preview and information.
Example:
Triumph_Search.jpg
Select the unique part of the Forum/Profile Link Code.
In this case, I select just the "da696634e80b4963887d13dc20" section.
Enter this text as a "word," and use the normal ADT search page.

Try my "da696634e80b4963887d13dc20" as a test.
The search page will return five results for the past two years.

Another way to get the "da696634e80b4963887d13dc20" information -- so that you can use it as a "word" on the ADT Search page -- is to right-click on the image as it appears in a post, and selecting View Image Info.
This is particularly useful when you are looking at someone else's image (i.e. not an image of yours that you can search for from your own "Profile > Images > Files and Folders" page), and want to see where else, or who else, has used that image.
