I was suspicious back in May whenever drake dropped some comment on ADT about the new girls, Mendez and Blue, and how signing someone without porn experience (i.e. Hart) can be risky and doesn't work out well. If Hart has not been under contract with Wicked for around 8 months and we haven't seen any other hardcore output from her, I wonder if she'll continue to perform. Time will tell. Ok. Click to expand Totally agree. Wicked always makes a big buzz about any new signing. Why don't they give at least a brief press note about separating from a girl? We don't need the dirty details, only the information that a girl is no longer with Wicked. After all this news doesn't come as a surprise. She was Stanley's regular leading lady. And when Wicked announced the signing of two non blond haired girls, I knew that Carmen's time as a Wicked girl will come to an end soon. Though I didn't know she was already gone for months. I miss Carmen. She brought something different to the contract girl roster. Just like Stanley brought something different to the contract director roster. [Link]

jessica Jessica Drake i've been a very, very wicked girl. 110 Posts 8/07	Posted - Sep 28 2008 : 2:49AM no, really guys... it's not always drama! carmen decided of her own free will that the biz wasn't for her anymore...but she wanted some time off to really think about it, that's why it wasn't announced. she wanted it like that. we were not "milking her sweet contract goodness" lol. i mean, how would it look if we said she was done and then said no, we lied, she's not?? and the comment i made about hiring a girl with experience was not directed at carmen. eh, it was good while it lasted, and like i said, we wish her the best. she did what she personally needed to do, and i think every girl should do what's right for her. and savoy, i generally agree with your posts, but here, i don't. i think wicked IS different. we really aren't formulaic like that. i know of a few other companies that are, and i met with 2 right before i signed with us...but when i met with the powers that be at wicked, i quickly knew that this was the company for me. but what differences were/are you hoping for? what types of things would you rather see? i guess you can answer here instead of my myspace. ; ) love, j ps- if you guys ever want to ask me a direct question- feel free. Every press release my company has issued about Carmen was done with her cooperation and input, as well as Wicked's. Whether it was her co-hosting the 2008 XRCO Awards (a gig I helped set up for her, btw), or promoting a release she was particularly proud of, we happily did it together. In projects she's recently undertook, and had great success in, like her recent dance competition victories, she's used other means to get the word out (such as working directly with AVN to get promotional stories generated, etc). So, no, my company has not "been issuing press releases as though she were still under contract." Savoy, as I said, I have enormous respect for you and your views, but what I described above is the reality of the situation. [Link]

Both Predator movies are amazing and I've heard some things about part 3 that will blow the mind!! I can also appreciate that making a premature announcement would be confusing. So when was her decision made? Did she even renew her contract? When I wrote about formula and lacking originality, I was freshly disappointed. My two faves, both of whom I consider to be far from typical, are gone. All I could think of was being stuck watching those costume pornos Armstrong has such an affinity for. You know, things like "Chop Shop Chicas" and "Cockstar". They are not my cup of tea. I consider them to be the weakest porn genre and you guys churn them out like crazy. Somebody's got to be enjoying them I suppose. And as for things I would like to see more of or different things I expect...you (remaining) guys do provide it sometimes and it's not things that haven't been asked for a million times - engaging stories, good acting, relevant sex scenes with heat. Eh more of that please? I want a film that can be enjoyed without the sex scenes, but is enhanced by them. I want to be engaged physically, mentally and emotionally. Yeah, I realize it's a tall order (and a little vague). :) DM/PR - When I wrote deceitful - I meant towards the consumer, not towards Hart. While you could see the difference in the job you did (as I can now), I couldn’t at the time. I didn’t realize that Hart played a role in still promoting herself as being under contract. Every one of the AVN articles about her recent dance awards is plastered with "Wicked girl", "Wicked contract star", Wicked this, Wicked that. These appeared throughout the summer - up until August. Your company issued a press release in June listing her amongst the Wicked girls so can you see where it would be misleading? I was surprised that she had been gone for so long. Is "Love for the First Time" the last Carmen movie? Both jessica and DM/PR, thanks for your responses. I appreciate your participation here immensely. And I always appreciate your observations and complaints. :) The June press release you're referring was a schedule of everyone's personal appearances, and yes, it did mention Carmen. She was taking time off from shooting, still pondering which path she most wanted to follow in her career. She had not officially announced she was leaving the company. Both she and Wicked requested that she be included in the June personal appearance release, so she was. While you did not specifically ask about Kirsten, others in this thread have.
