For anyone thinking of joining this website, use extreme caution. I signed up about 2 weeks ago, what a mistake. Not only is the video quality atrocious but there are pre-checked boxes during the sign up process for other sites. When I discovered in addition to my membership I had 2-3 day trial memberships to a number of other websites I immediately got on the merchant website, marketshelp.com, and canceled all trial and my Casting Couch Teens membership. I double, triple and quadruple checked to make sure I had gotten everything, each time I would get the following message, "your membership has been canceled". Well after 3 days my credit card was billed $39.95 for one the websites. I got on the merchant website, entered the appropriate info and got the following message, "your membership has been canceled". I had to call the merchant and have them cancel it that way. I thought my ordeal was over until this afternoon when I got an email from EgladesMGOnline.com telling me my membership had been activated to a site I had never heard of. I went to the merchant website entered the appropriate info and got, you guessed it, "your membership has been canceled". I called the merchant only to find out this was associated with the Casting Couch Teen membership. When I sign up for a website I always keep the email receipt and place them in a folder. I went back and checked my emails and discovered I never got emails to the two websites in question. This is nothing less than fraud as far as I'm concerned. Not sure what I can do, anyone have any ideas? Mods if this is not the appropriate forum please move.
I feel your pain, man... as someone who was in the porn business a while (on both the directing and website end), this is something that makes me absolute HATE this line of work. Right now, convincing people to actually pay for porn is hard enough... and then to fuck the people over who actually do break out their credit card and fork over hard earned money is the move of a true degenerate. It's a shady business... and the adult industry has no one to blame but themselves. We have a bunch of fucking cowboys running the show. And then they wonder why they're not making the type of money they used to... - Swirlie Swirlie - Not Porn, But Plenty of Hot Chicks!

That is some bullshit. Meanwhile the industry wonders why no one wants to pay for their porn anymore.
^ I fail to see the connection. There is no industry-wide body overseeing everybody's business practices. You don't need a license to put up a web-site, and you don't need some mythic porn czar's approval regarding how you operate it. Hence, this attempt to blame "The Industry" and to claim one is taking revenge on this mythic body for being sold a bill of goods is just self-serving sophistry. One might as well claim that one is entitled to steal a Porsche because the Yugo one purchased turned out to be a piece of crap.
Hardware, I think the issue is this pre-checked box hidden in the fine print seems to be a common ploy in adult website memberships. This isn't the first post describing this type of deception. It seems like porn sites are guilty of it more than other forms of membership websites. It's just another way porn suffers from its inability to self-police the industry. It doesn't justify stealing content, but it does tend to reduce the the stigma. Kind of a 'goes around, comes around' kind of thing.
Rod, how do you propose we would self police this kind of shitty behaviour? I see that site is registered in Cyprus and only uses cheaply bought content. I wouldn't be surprised if it was made by criminals just to do this kind of thing. I don't even consider sites like that part of the porn industry, they are just piggybacking on other peoples content. Swallowtheload, go to your creditcard company and ask for a chargeback. Jacco
^ I didn't say this was an easy issue to deal with. Smarter people than me hopefully are working at it. I was just trying to respond to Hardware's comment. I'm just saying it's a real problem that the industry suffers with and there are companies that would benefit from solving it. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be happening. Outside the porn industry, Apple has been successful at taking advantage of this type of situation - iTunes seems to be an example. I'm not saying that's the model for a solution, I'm just saying smart people have devised solutions to similar problems and created successful business models in the process. @Hardware... while there isn't a governing body overseeing the industry, it is a small community that can absolutely self regulate if they wanted... from the bottom to the top. I'll explain... 1) Almost all of these sites have affiliate programs. They pay (on average) $30 for signups people send. Most of these sites have a trial offer ranging from $1 to $4.95. Since rebilling sucks anymore, they hit customers with hidden cross sales to make their money and justify paying out $30 on a $1 sale. If affiliates stopped pushing these type of shady sites, their traffic would drop massively. 2) Ad networks. These companies can buy ads on various tubes, blogs, etc... for a price. If these networks refused to do business with companies that were known to be shady, then again... their sales would drop considerably. 3) The billers. Companies like CCBill have measures in place to prevent hidden cross sales. Sure, you can have cross sales, but they're not hidden and they're above the join button so you have to see them before you click join HOWEVER, there are other billers that allow all sorts of shady dealings. Most of the time, they'll just bang your card in an endless loop. Quit one site, you're joined up to two more... quit those two, another pops up three months later, quit that site... two more pop up. And this is just a quick reply off the top of my head. Trust me, there is a serious shady underworld going on and everyone just sits on their hands (the industry, that is... not the fans). - Swirlie

I love it when douchebags make idiotic remarks on porn forums...
I had great luck with websites at first. Got all the asianappleseed material no problem. Even though the guy was a abusive goofball. Got all my exploitedteensasia. Hottest chicks with the ugliest and hairiest old dudes. Asianstreetmeat was the same but worst camera work ever. All these sites worked. Evilutionplex wasnt so easy for me. I couldnt download the videos after several upon several attempts. At this point I am done with internet sites with video downloads. The original poster must be way more pissed than I ever could have been.
Two interesting articles on the topic: New Visa Rule Takes Aim at Third-Party Merchant Cross Sales "The new rule, though crafted to target cross sales, does not appear to be directed at IPSPs (Internet Payment Service Providers), otherwise known as third-party processors, which are widely used by adult webmasters." MasterCard Acting to Eliminate Pre-Checked Cross-Sales "The rule apparently only applies to merchant accounts; IPSPs will not be affected, Cadwell stated in his post."
I saw a website yesterday with the following setup: $1 for trial membership - the duration of the trial period was not clearly stated $50 for 1-year membership On the terms and conditions page which was a wall of text, I discovered that the trial membership automatically rebills to $99 per month if not cancelled in time.
Have any of you ever heard of prepaid cards? For example Paypal ,at least here in Europe, has a card which can be either a Mastercard or a Visa this is a particular card not associated to any bank account but managed by Visa or Mastercard servers if you want to spend say $ 30 then you load the card with $ 30 and then you pay , if anyone tries to take more than that the card simply won't pay no trick is possible they will find only what you want to pay unless you put more money. The card although it's released by paypal doesn't have Paypal's limitations over porn you can use it the same way as a credit card here it is from Paypal UK Though due to the wide use of regular credit cards upon cash it might be not available in the USA EDIT BTW I don't have a Paypal Card , I'm just aware of their existence Edited by - Laurie Cameron Fan on 4/17/2011 3:09:27 PM
Yes, they're fairly common, but the one I have has a charge to refill of about $3, so if you want to add $30, it costs $33 or if you want $300 it will cost $303. Not cheap for low dollar amounts, particularly if you do it very often.
Leaving aside the apparent fact that you're only talking about the porn industry located in California, if I understand you then these are your recommended remedies: 1. Porn producers should stop using affiliate sites. 2. Ad networks should know which companies are shady and shouldn't do business with them (not sure how this is the fault of the porn industry). 3. Porn sites should not use billing companies that allow shady dealing. On point 1: To begin with, are you claiming that all porn producers use affiliate sites? Are you claiming that there is some mechanism to force all porn producers not to use affiliate sites? In other words, how does Good Porn Producer force Evil Porn Producer to go along with this scheme? If Good Porn Producer cannot force Evil Porn Producer to go along is it OK to blame Good Porn Producer? 2. As to ad networks dealing with reputable companies only, I agree with you. I'm just not sure how you expect the porn producer to oversee that. Granted, if it is pointed out to a porn producer that Adz-R-Us is disreputable then we might reasonably expect him to cease dealing with it, assuming there's somebody else who will deal with him. Are we safe in making that assumption? Then again, many people consider porn disreputable to begin with, so it might take a little more than some bald statement to get a porn producer to act. 3. I agree that porn companies should only use reputable billing companies, but it begs the question of how the porn site owner is supposed to know? We'd like to think that all porn producers are deeply involved in the details of their business but somehow I suspect that a good number of them just aren't that business savvy. Who is Pablo Producer supposed to consult about this? [spelling] Edited by - hardware on 4/17/2011 4:39:12 PM
^ I think we also have to remember the economy is tough now and not many companies are turning down much business. It's nice to say only do business with X Y or Z, but everyone is working to stay afloat and sometimes that means doing things they'd prefer not to do.

It's known as integrity. What's the old saying, "Lay down with dogs and get up with fleas" You can't have it both ways with something like this: "I don't want to be affiliated with XYZ but times are tough so I'll go along with them ripping people off and collect some $$ of it, but all you people quit ripping me off by downloading my material from a tube site"
^Who exactly owns these tube sites again? Wasn't it 'manwin' or something? The same people who run the websites? I really dont know. But I think its all a big loop. Its not necessarily the peoples fault. Is it?

^According to this New York Magazine article, Manwin, the company that owns and operates Brazzers/Mofos, does also own a number of tube sites. Maybe that explains how they've managed to become one of the biggest porn companies in the world, depsite the fact that their actual porn pay sites aren't that great.
^Hey, hey hey! Looks like somebody gets it. Cant speak for anybody but myself. I know Im just one opinion. But I think mofos and brazzers suck ass. Not in a good way. Never had an urge to see any of it. Only wanted to see if the Asa scenes sucked or not. Oh, they did. Bottom line is that producers bitch about tube sites and were not allowed to post anything relating to tube sites. Yet the tube sites are owned by the same affiliate/conglomerate. So funny. Hypocrisy.
Hi GORTECH, Tell me what happen exactly that you could not get your material. Send me a screenshot or send me your user and pass. I will check this out for you. Thanks C
^I appreciate your concern. To keep this subject public and on topic maybe you could be so kind as to ask me this in the 'Evilutionplex is light years ahead' thread. I would be glad to discuss this rather frustrating experience in detail.
Well since I last posted on this thread I've been charged twice. The first merchant, based out of Florida, said there was a computer glitch and some past members had been billed. When the credit card company called me they informed me they had been getting a lot of complaints about this particular merchant. Today I found a $39 dollar charge from Stubltd.com, Jacco, ironically based out of Cyprus. There excuse was someone had my credit card info, yea them! Two bullshit excuses. In both cases I have received credit from the merchants. By the way, I canceled the credit card about an hour ago. It is a shame it had to come to that.
The company that now owns this website is notorious for allegedly banging credit cards. I wouldn't touch any of their sites with a 10 foot pole. They're in the practice of buying established sites just for the credit card info... well, that's the rumor around the knitting circle, anyway. It sucks that you got screwed. Just charge back any and all fees. It's the only thing you can currently do... - Jimmy Hooligan The Jimmy Hooligan Blog
