Since we get so many requests for 'couples' type porn, I ran a search and came up with 147. ( Interestingly, theres 276 for Anal )

I was wondering what the criteria is that differentiates 'couples' from 'feature' (608) or 'straight' (1435), mainly. For instance, I would have no problem recommending Justine 2: Nothing To Hide to any couple, or anyone, really, but it's not listed under couples. Then Black Widow is listed under couples, and feature, but not straight, though it most certainly is. Does the category come from the studio, and is it standardized?

You know what, I was wondering the same thing. Not about couples porn, but about how do the reviews get classified.


(At least you got wonderous variety, a search for she-male reviews, turns up only 23!)

I asked Steph and Drew a similar question not long ago concerning animation and anime. Steph said they are planning to rework the categories, but they're very busy right now (which I can completely understand), so it's not at the top of the "to do" list.

We added the couples category later - haven't had time to redo all the older titles. Also if there's no review when adding a category to a movie, it's difficult to label it. Straight means we know it's straight and don't know anything else. Feature generally means plot, or attempt at a plot. I like to make sure the Couples ones are the most accurate because I don't want people buying a movie based on the couples category and it not being a couples-oriented movie.

The reviews use our price search database - it's all the same movie database. If anyone wants to email me corrections on categories for movies I'd be happy to take care of them. I just changed Justine to Couples Feature.

Thanks for the clarification Steph, that makes sense, especially concerning the couples category.
All the others are fairly self-explanatory, I just thought that maybe there was a particular act that kept one out of one category, but not another.
