It's just tough when you see a list and there's at least 4 performers that you truly believe don't deserve to be there AND then not have Penny even nominated.

Casey Parker? For 2 films? Come on, you don't deserve to be on a best of the year (newbie) list for that. Her film Casey Parker Girl Next Door was also over-rated. Blazed and Confused 2 was a better made film, with better performers all around, and better sex...and the comedy of Penny on top of all of that. The Casey Parker film was more hit and miss.

Memphis Monroe hasn't done great work at Hustler by any means. So, is she being based on the work before that? If so, you take a spot from someone who was great all year.

Stefani Morgan, Kristen Price- feature girl crap.

Lacie Heart did not have a good half year with Vivid, which explains why she went to DP, where maybe she'll do the kind of work again that's worth a nomination.

Now, from the lists that you provided, these girls really did some great stuff (consitantly-very important in my opinion) and deserve recognition for it.

Now, I haven't seen everyone listed, so I only made comments above about who I feel strongly about. If a name is missing, it's not because they don't belong, it's probably because I didn't see enough of them. But the girls listed above the numbered list who I commented on don't belong over Penny Flame. Neither do several others that I didn't comment on.

The AVN list looks really political, but each list has at least a couple performers that didn't do, in my opinion, didn't come close to having the year Penny did. The girls who are listed 1-15 had truly great years. And that 15 combines newbies and non-newbies. Kinzie is always great, but didn't have a better year than Penny.

Biggest head scratcher...Casey Parker.

I mis-read the lists at first, so there were massive changes to my original post. Still, my head cannot get wrapped around the fact that Penny didn't make any of those lists. She should be on all the ones she's eligible for.

Maybe Penny has too much personality for her own good and that rubs people the wrong way.

I don't know the people in the business at all, but that poster who is an actor (Christian, I think) posted that Penny, in his opinion, is the best actress he's seen and he's blown away watching her.

Now that's only one man's opinion, but a) he's in the business and b) even if she's isn't the BEST, certainly praise like that from an actor would suggest she's ONE of the best.

But they have to make the safe, boring choices and make the "right" people happy.

If Penny did anal, she'd be on every list. I think she's penalized for that and I think it's in people's minds that because she's so entertaining that her sex isn't focused on as much.

But in my opinion, that only makes her better. Honestly, don't we all have an idea of how good these women are at having sex? But when you have someone like Penny come along who can direct, act, has the kind of personality that could fit easily in certain mainstream entertainment, and is great at sex, and she gets overlooked in every list, wow, something seems wrong with that.

Not to mention, I like girls who are vocal. Some of the women who are on these lists are moaners, but nothing else. Penny is one of the best dirty talkers in the biz and when you are seeing more and more cookie cutter gonzo, it's really hot to have someone who can get get you rock hard with just the way she talks and reacts in a scene. And you never hear her repeat herself, like, "oh yeah, you're so good."

If she says that once, you won't hear it again. She can do scene after scene and be fresh and original in each one.

I have never contemplated going to the AVNs, but I think they put them on pay per view and Penny would make a perfect host and, for her, I'd watch and, you know what, it would be damned entertaining...for the audience watching on television and for the people who are actually at the event.

PS-Penny was in a film called Head Case with a truly all-star cast and she gave BY FAR the best blow job in the film. Yet she doesn't get the credit she deserves. It wasn't a long scene, because there were a lot of BJs to be given by other performers but it was one of the best blow jobs ever caught on film. She deserves an award just for that one scene.
