I saw American Wedding with Nikki Ziering a couple of weeks ago. Maybe her biggest role ever. I think she could go back to that if porn didn't work out. She would be perfect for Porn. If this C or D list career is what she is giving up, she will definitely be doing better as a pornstar. Jewels offer, is a pornstar's dream! And it is not unusual for kids today to make comments like "Dude, your Mom's hot!" and it is taken as a compliment, not a lecherous insult, like it would have been thirty years ago. And most young guys would be thrilled to have a girlfriend like Jenna Jameson or Tara Patrick or Daisy Marie. Their friends would be more than jealous. As far as values go, when you have corporate scandals at Enron and WorldCom, OJ and Robert Blake on trial for murder, Kobe accused of rape, the kids of today are smart enough to figure out that it is all about "celebrity." And porn stars like Jenna Jameson are at the top of celebrity lists. If we had to bet, I'd be with you guys that believe that for the rumored Playmate (be she Shauna or Nikki), it is just a matter of time. Not a question of "if" but a question of "when." As long as she can even command a "D-list" salary of 500k a movie like I read Tara Reid does (and that's considered a D-list salary), she will have no need to do porn ever. I actually enjoy her music and think she is a phenomenal entertainer with incredible stage presence. Most people cannot perform like that, and remember all that choreography and execute it like she can, there is a huge difference between Brit and a pornstar. Most pornstars, or just most people in general cannot get on a stage and entertain like that. Carmen Electra has more charisma then Tera I think, it's just that x-factor that some people have, star appeal I think. [Link]

Despite the naysayers, who still seem to regularly check in, most people seem to think that the time is ripe for this, that porn has become almost mainstream, and that the first woman to move from a mainstream career to a porn career could quickly achieve the fame and success of the current adult superstar Jenna Jameson. Adult movies, talk shows, interviews, books... It's mainstream, goes porno, goes mainstream again! It's win-win! I hope this happens sooner, rather than later. That's like saying a doctor could have ended up as a janitor but just "happened" to become a doctor. Truth is that a doctor would have had to worked extremely hard to get to where they are and the same is with Lindsay and Brit. Those girls dedicated their young lives to making their dreams come true and they had the perseverance and endurance to make it in Hollywood which is not easy. The point is that they became druggies AFTER they were famous but at least they made it there. And the fact is that most people are NOT as talented as Brit in terms of stage presence and charisma and performing like that. I don't care if she lip synchs, I would still pay to see her in concert because I think she's an incredible entertainer. And DeanWormer, I registered a long time ago but I actually felt compelled to post because I find it ridiculous for someone to say that Britney or Lindsay might as well be pornstars... Seriously, Playboy in the 70s and 80s had some really hot, natural women - find some old playboys - the girls are not the plastic girls today. Click to expand If that is true, why can't legal action be taken against them the same way that legal action is being taken against students who use "University" servers to pirate and download music and video? There is a student who was recently fined $30,000, and her University has felt the pressure, and has adopted a policy forbidding the use of University servers for illegal downloads... [Link]

Click to expand You should ask the industry bigwigs who post here why nothing gets done...it's especially galling when one of the forums in question bears the name of a prominent male performer who also posts there. The other forum has a bunch of banner ads for paysites...surely the people running these sites and affiliate programs don't want to support piracy? Why doesn't the offending affiliate get their accounts pulled and their commissions confiscated? I don't know...I suspect the answer lies somewhere between outright apathy and utter ineptitude. It's a combination of a widespread feeling that stealing is okay as long as they're not the ones being stolen from, plus a general sense that nothing can be done about it anyway. In the case of the University download issue, there is a private company that has the technical tools to identify who is doing the downloading, how much downloading, and which servers are being used. Once the data is gathered, the offenders are given a choice: either pay the fines and royalties, or face prosecution and possible imprisonment. I'm not sure who should get the ball rolling, but it has to start somewhere. [Link]
