Just read the official biography of DP's latest contract director Celeste.
I wonder why it doesn't mention that she's been performing in adult as Bunny Luv? She even made films for DP as Bunny Luv. So why no mentioning in the biography?
Is she ashamed of her past?
Different question: Isn't the name CELESTE under copyright, whether by Vivid or the former Vivid girl Celeste?
I don't think porn names are copywrited. I have seen very similar names used many times. I think there are active performers who direct under a different name. She is still in porn, so if she were ashamed of being a performer this is no way to hide it. I doubt that is the reason.
The bio make no mention of her scene for Anabolic Initiations #1, when she was 18. It looks like the usual hogwash. But good for her, hope she makes a good director.
I'd guess ex-performers turned director find it harder to gain industry respect than people who just start out as directors right off the bat . Probably a trickle down from the contempt garnered by "director" stars who have their name attached to product someone else has shot . Maybe she thinks a fresh start will buy her a better chance of being judged on her new job instead of always being seen through the memory of her old one ?
fellas, Celeste (Bunny Luv)'s husband/boyfriend/whatever is Robby D, they recently had their first child....anyway, Celeste and Robby D dont hide the fact that she was Bunny Luv at all. I have heard them mention it on set numerous times. I think being a performer turned director is helpful because of the name recognition factor....it sells tapes.
As for Cindy Crawford, I thought it was too.. I read an article lately where she said it was, it was in one of the strip club mags(I know not the most reliable source)
As for Celeste maybe it was just time for a change.
Have you got a link to the source of this info? It doesn't surprise me that DP is the driving force behind this change of name. They prefer more classy names for their girls.

And Stryc-9 and Cherry Mirage versus Extreme.
And in Europe, Helen Duval versus the German company Helen Duval Entertainment, who attracted Monica Covet to play Helen Duval after the Dutch version left the company.

I heard that Cindy was using her "real" name as well though I am a hesitant to believe that after Leanni Lei swore up and down on the record that she used her real name as well.
Maybe not in this case, where most punters will forever associate the name Bunny Luv with a tease who refused to do anal on camera till the bitter end.
i stand corrected, cindy crawford is her real name, my apologies to you all. by the way, i wish i could use the word punters in more of my sentences. :)
Well, her start with the new name wasn't any better. She's the cover girl on Robbie D.'s REPO GIRL. cover And she has not a single sex scene in the whole movie. That's what I call cheating the customer. IMHO the cover girl of a feature must have at least three sex scenes.
Interesting news to find out that Bunny Luv is boyfriend/married to Robby D. I always wanted to know what the tattoo of chinese writing on Bunny Luv's Ass cheek symbolized. Anyone know. I hope Bunny directs a foot fetish series. She did alot of foot fetish stuff herself when she performed.
Speaking of which I understand Vivian Valentine aka Phoenix something is ashamed of her past. I read on a fansite a while back that because she's a full time mother she doesn't want her child to grow up knowing what her mother did in her more immature days. She, I guess, had a child die. I'm going to see if the site is still active.

Kim Alexis became Kim Angeli, although she also used the alias Toni Kristian.
Vivian Valentine's alternative alias, which was given to her by Jim Holliday who apparently didn't like her original monicker, was Phoenix Haight.

Why she'd choose the name "Celeste" though is beyond me. I mean. Bunny has been in the industry for a few years, and would surely of "The" Celeste.
I know porn names are recycled, but is choosing the name of one of the biggest stars of the 90's really the best thing to avoid confusion? Of course, it might be deliberate. When I first heard of "Celeste" directing, I thought of This Celeste. Perhaps the confusion is intentional?
A real name will not save you in a lawsuit. For instance, if you are named McDonald, you can name a restaurant after yourself. When the corporation finds out, you will lose big in court. There are similar results for stuff on a smaller scale. Actors can only use their real names if it hasn't been registered with the SAG. Michael J. Fox does not really have a middle name beginning with'J'. He had to put it there because there was a previous Michael Fox.
