I can understand why many euro porn girls change their names very often. Most of them probably want to stay unknown and unrecognized.
But why do American porn stars change their names?
For instance, one of my absolute favorite porn girls Kara Bare also uses the names Kara Care, Kara Mynor, and Shawna Lenee. Now why to do that?
Another hot starlet is Lichelle and at the same time Lachelle.

I changed my names for business reasons. I was just talking to a few companies, nothing serious- just finding out info about contracts. Kara Bare is not a marketable name. Shawna is also my real name. I would rather not make up a character. That's really me on camera, no faking && all that other bullshit girls put on. I am also not going to be a teacher, mayor, or anything after this so I am not afraid of my identity being found out. My real name is all the biographies anyways so it doesn't really make a difference. So in all, it was just for the better and I couldn't be happier with the decision I have made. :) I promise, there is NO reason to change it again. Just seems like Kara doesn't exsist to me.

Most American porn stars don't change their name nearly enough for me to start complaining about.
But I will tell you that you opened my eyes to something I didn't know...I had no idea that Kara Bare was Shawna Lenee. I just saw her scene over at Brazzers' Baby Got Boobs and thought it was hot as hell.

Shawna is a very beautiful name and I am very impressed by how natural you are and the fact that you are so real that you are now actually using your real first name. This is really great! I definitely do prefer Shawna Lenee on any Kara any day. Please keep this name now, it fits you great. You have certainly caught everyone's attention with your positive energy performance. Like Heather Gables, which I think is a really good name, then for some bizarre reason she's changed it to Paris Gables. Which to me sounds a bit naff because it seems like she's trying to cash in on the cache that comes with the name Paris because of that Hilton bint.
I much prefer Heather.
Nothing says romance like anal sex.

Ha, I'm going to hold you to that. It gives me more legal stuff to shift through and who likes more work to do? I kid.
Kara Bare/Kara Mynor to Shawna Lenee.
Sabrina Starr to Sasha Heart.
Aurora Jolie to Nicara/Nikara.
All I can think off the top of my head that has made me go, "Aww, now I have to go back and rename files!"
EDIT: The name change of Marco Duato to Marco Banderas makes me cry myself to sleep at night.
