I watch a lot of movies. Before the Oscars, I like to have seen most of the picture and acting nominees, though I won't go see something I know I won't like just to see them all.

In porn, though, It's unlikely that there'll be nothing for me to like in a movie. So I'm going to try to catch up on these. (*movies I've already seen)

Anyway, is anyone else thinking of seeing a movie mainly because these lists brought it to your attention? How many have you seen already? Which did you like?

No. The only one I'm tempted to see and haven't already is Eye of the Beholder . That one I learnt of from your thread about it.
I agree with some of the nominations but other nominees I think are shite.
A movie being nominated for or even winning an AVN award makes no difference to me. Mentions on ADT are my main source of info on new titles.

How many have you seen already?

About six I think (too lazy to trawl through that entire list again).

Which did you like?

Road Trixxx and Fluff and Fold are great. Squirtwoman is quite nice too.
I haven't seen the newest volumes of the Kick Ass series Barefoot Confidential , Specs Appeal and Chica Boom . But I've generally liked the ones I've seen in the past.

I wouldn't buy a movie based on awards nomination, though it would certainly comfort me in my choice if I hesitated. "Repo Girl" and "Loaded" are 2 movies that look great from the online trailers, but I'm on a budget and rarely stray from my Vivid girls . I've submitted reviews for Café Flesh 3, The 8th Sin & Bare Stage, if it can be of any help.

It was. 8th Sin is now in the mail from my rental service. BushDVD.com is missing some titles, though... Cafe Flesh 3, Dual Identity, and Dark Intent are among them.

Believe me, I know how suspect the AVN Awards are, but it is a list, so I look. It looks like this year's crop is going to finally get me to pay attention to Savanna Samson (my recent Vivid viewing had been focused on Sunrise Adams). Samson's movies are all over the nominations, and if they actually are pretty good, then it's clear why she got nominated for Best Female Performer. Looks like she had a strong year.

Obi, let us know how you get on with this. I've been meaning to buy one of Savanna's movies for a while now but have never been able to decide which one. I was going to get Bare Stage until I read Vodka Tonic's review.

Incidentally, despite generally being quite cynical about such things, I must admit to reading the list of nominees with potential purchases in mind. How embarrassing!
