I understand that when Veronica Hart told her children (2 sons) that she did porn, one embraced her and one never spoke to her again. This maybe a rumour. I heard this about 1997/98. Does anyone know of any reactions that pornstar offspring have had to their parents XXX pasts?
Veronica Hart (along with Georgina Spelvin and Seka) were the main inspiration for the character of Amber Waves (Julianne Moore) in P.T. Anderson's Boogie Nights. Hart even played the judge during Amber's custody hearing.
forgive me for straying from the originally posed question but i always wondered why i dont see more second generation porn stars. i would think that like the children of "mainstream" movie stars the children of adult film stars would be more inclined to work in the adult film industry and become stars. just a thought.
Hmm, interesting thread. I know a well known UK porn star and her husband here in the UK and to look at her sons, they are incrediible well mannered and respectful and aware of what their mum does but it doesnt get in the way of them being a family.
I know of another girl who claims to be a functional mother but in my opinion she was a good mother before the shit hit the fan in the tabloids.

Personally, I think it is a fallacy to expect children from porn star mothers to be dysfunctional just because they fuck for a living. Times are changing and I think we should start adopting a healthy attitude to fucking and sex in general instead of embracing violence in sexy co-eds getting their heads chopped off for entertainment. But I suppose thats another issue altogether.
I don't think that anyone (at least, not anyone HERE,) is arguing that having a pornstar mother and/or father is going to intrinsically make the child disfunctional. I think that springing such a surprise on them at an older age might be a bit traumatic, but if they grow up knowing (at least in some form,) that that's what their mother does for a living, it's not something which will affect their moral fiber or mental health.
Where the real issue lies is in how people OUTSIDE the family will react to the child, based on the mother's occupation. And I don't think that that is something which can be ignored. While it's not fair, I can certainly understand a child who is resentful of the parent because what the parent does negatively affects the child's life.
Mickey G is Jamie Gillis' son (and see how normal he turned out ). I can't think of any other pornstars who are the children of established stars. I know there have been a few mothers and daughters over the years, but I don't remember that any of the moms were big stars.
I don't know a whole lot of people who wanted to be just like their parents when they grew up.
Were I a porn performer, I would tell my child that anytime some other kid tried to taunt him about my being in porn he should reply that the other kid's dad must be a perverted porn watcher to know that.

Maybe children of porn stars just notice a little sooner than others that there are a lot of motherfuckers in the world.
To be serious I can understand children who have a problem with that. First because of other kids who pick on them and second because children often see their parents as asexual beings. For many it's a weird thought that their moms and dads might be fucking. Now if mom swallows the cum of strangers additionally I can understand that's a bit more difficult to swallow for the child. Though that doesn't mean a porn star's child is destined to put Timothy McVeigh to shame.
If the phone doesn't ring then it is no longer lucrative. That in itself, the drop from queen of the ball to unwanted has-been, is probably enough to make a lot of performers bitter.
I think having a parent in the porn industry would deter someone from wanting to be involved with porn. Unless you dad is a director or something like Matt Zane. I mean if you mom does a movie like Baker's Dozen or Cum filled Asshole Overload would you really want to be associated with that? Plus in mainstream movies there's much more glitz and glam and the pay is considerably better. Kate Hudson doesn't have to get tested every week.
