I have never noticed Chinese porn before other than the odd poorly produced video but evidently that has now changed. The actors speak Chinese There is no way that all of this is by chance. China controls most everything and they could destroy this industry but quick if they wanted to. Obviously Also high quality is a relative term. High quality in the sense that the production values are at least grade B movie quality, they are not made on someone's cell phone with the images bouncing all around the place. Even though a Japanese company markets this content I don't think Japan is the intended market, I think the Japanese companies picked up this content for a niche audience. The actresses are in many cases very attractive but not more or less attractive than similar Japanese porn actresses, just different. There is no mozaics and no Japanese subtitles but sometimes Chinese subtitles, further indication that these films are intended for the Chinese market. Japanese AV has been popular in China (and other Chinese speaking markets) for some time (sometimes with Chinese subtitles) but high quality Chinese porn is something very new. Hong Kong even has a history of producing a bunch of softcore erotic movies (going so far as to show a couple of lady holes in the director's cut of "3-D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy" (2011)) but not "gonzo" softporn stuff like xiuren & co -let alone hardcore- so it's really nice to finally see some progress.
