Dude, it's pretty lame to quote a post I made three years ago merely to criticize it. Am I supposed to change my mind? Because I still feel the same way now as I did then. I'm not a fan of circumcision; I didn't want to have my older son circumcised but was talked into it; when it wound up that he was not fully circumcised, I insisted that he not be re-cut; when a doctor advised me to get my younger son circumcised due to a minor yeast infection, I disregarded her (he has been fine since); nonetheless, I do not think circumcision is barbaric. This topic really gets to me. Maybe I wouldn't have one ounce more pleasure if I was intact but I would have the peace of mind of knowing that my parents didn't deprive me of something I could never get back.

i'm circusised and have been since birth most of the time i never really gave it two thoughts, I did go through a brief phases where i was considering a non-surgical foreskin restoration mainly because the ignorance is bliss thing was waining but I think the idea of having my penis contorted to allow for skin growth for hours upon hours a day over a period of 1yr-3yrs, also I think my circumsion was rather tight so it would take a lot of effort, I still have orgasms and enjoy sex, though I guess in a way i have to work at if for them to be very intense but that maybe a mental thing, if i could magically restore my foreskin maybe I would, I think I replaced the idea with a piercing which I am very happy with and on occaission my Prince Albert has given me multiple orgasms :P

Female 'circumcision' is a euphemism. As this wikipedia page points out, it often involves removing the clitoris and labia, and sewing everything shut so no penetration can take place:It is usually perfomed on 4-8 year old girls, but can be any age between infancy and puberty.Really not analogous to male circumcision.

I get the feeling some of the guys who most strenuously object to circumcision, had a bad circumcision. In which case, I could see why they would have such strong feelings about it. For my own sake, mine was done by my mother's OB/GYN, a woman no less [something of a rarity in the 60's], and she did a fantastic job. It looks nice, functions perfectly and has all the sensation I could ever want. Thanks Dr. Williamson!
How hard is it to understand that of there are more nerves, there will be more sensitivity and (thusly) more pleasure? And I don't think it's much of a coincidence that the practice seems strongly tied to religion in the West. The way the foreskin works on an intact dick facilitates masturbation. Cut men, in general (whether they realize it or not) have to work harder at masturbating. Leave it up to the old prudes to chop off a part of an infants dick that would have later been particularly useful for masturbation. Is it any surprise that the practice is as common as it is in the US, in spite of the fact that a large portion of the people who have their kids mutilated aren't even Jewish?

Lindi. I was just trying to draw a parallel that mutilating a part of the male anatomy against the will of the male (kids don't have free choice) isn't so different as ritual genital mutilations. I would consider myself unnecessarily mutilated if someone came by and decided to cut off my foreskin.

Are you saying you're not a dictator? Speaking of being dictated to, I can understand the difference of opinion between those of us with the streamlined equipment versus our unmodified brethren. It may be as irreconcilable a difference as, say, town vs. country, Yankees vs. Sox, Mac vs. PC, shirts vs. skins or North-Going Zax vs. South-Going Zax. What I don't understand is being told my subjective experience of my penis is somehow faulty. That my thoroughly satisfying experience of my cock is a form of penis false-consciousness. I have to say, these repeated claims of, 'If you only knew!' sound eerily similar to those made by religious proselytizers. 'If only you knew!' how much more satisfying your life would be if you accepted Jesus. 'If only you knew!' how much more fulfilled you would be. slightly off topic but i've noticed, in my opinion, sometimes the uncircumcised guys have bigger dicks. manual ferrara & ben english, for example are pretty damn big and uncircumcised. size differs from one to one obviously though. sometimes i wish i was uncircumcised myself.
I'm uncircumcised and happy. Wouldn't want to change it. It is very practical for jerking off anywhere and anytime. I suspect that the sensitivity argument has some merit, but there's a long way from that to arguing that circumcised guys have lesser quality sex or lesser orgasm. I kind of doubt there's any big difference there.
