Classics and XXX rated movies that starred Angel from L' amour, Niki Dial from hopeless romantic Hyapatia lee and a lot of the 80 stars. It seems that i cant seem to find a lot of them. Where did they all end up? I know some got tranferred to dvd. I have bought some
( no bootlegs). Is there any place on the internet to get them?

I can't guarantee what you are looking for is there, but Adult DVD Marketplace has a lot of that stuff. Outside of Ebay they are the only online seller I buy through.

I'm not a shill for IAFD but .... you can use their site to find other sites which currently sell or rent titles for a particular pornstar.
For example for Angel goto her page here.
Click on title like Hot Blooded (1985)
Scroll down to section "Buy This Movie" and you will see links for purchasing the movie via streaming sites, dvd sales,
dvd rentals, or used dvds, etc.
If you want DVDs then I strongly suggest you start building your collection now.
The porn guys are following Netflix and gradually phasing out DVDs in favor of online streaming.

There may be less of it, and some may go that route completely, but I highly doubt it. Media, Books, CD's, DVD's, and of course Records aren't going anywhere. No matter what the subject matter. The largest DVD market is adult. They aren't going anywhere, and it's so cheap to crank this stuff out after being produced that many companies keep cranking titles out into perpetuity. At least the ones that can afford it.

^ They have stopped making DVD recorders (stereo component versions not USB drives) that can write DVD9 (8GB) size blanks (i.e. DVD+R DL). You can only buy DVD recorders that support DVD5 (4GB) size blanks now. You can still buy DVD+R DL discs but they don't sell recorders that can write them anymore.

Yeah, the stuff you're describing is becoming more difficult to find since tons of it is now completely out of print. Add to that, the remaining stock sitting around in warehouses is dwindling or off the radar.
Another issue, of course, is copyrights. I speak from experience in that there are loads of films/videos from the 80's and 90's that no one actually knows who the rights belong to. Contracts for duplication/distribution were often times vague about what the regions they cover, for how long, and what media is permitted.
We're big into the classics here at Your Choice, so when we happen across stock, we try to get them. Even we get frustrated trying find and replenish stock on favourites.

Most of the porn produced in the mid to late 80s is not held in high regard by most fans of the 'classics' so it has been disappearing at a rapid pace as few collectors seem interested in preserving most of it, unlike almost anything from the 70s.

^ Yeah also while there are often younger fans who will seek out vintage porn (similar to how music fans may listen to older music) the primary market for that 70s and 80s porn is probably the baby boomers. Fans tend to remain nostalgic about the porn they grew up jerking off to. ;-) So as the baby boomers die off the market could dwindle. I do think lot of those movies will hold up over time though sort of like 60's Beatles and Motown music or 50's Film noir movies retain a strong younger fan bases. That being said some of the less popular titles may become harder to find if not impossible.
Copyright ownership is another issue. Of course some companies like AlphaBlue have made a nice little business redistributing some of those old titles on DVD regardless of being sued few times for copyright violation by the original owners. That being said there were much less companies around in the 70s and 80s. The 90s exploded with porn companies producing thousands of videos. Lot of those titles are now almost impossible to find unless some collector has copies. Unfortuntely, some cases your only hope of finding copies or clips of those is on tube sites.

Some other options for finding old classics ...
Goto rental sites like xrentdvd and click on Classics category.
They also have a nice search engine you can use to drill down to titles featuring a particular pornstar you like. There are other rental sites with similar categories and search.
Checkout AdultDVDMarketplace.com where companies and collectors sell new and used copies of dvds. Unfortunately they only have DVD and lot of movies were never converted to DVD. There was another place I used to frequent that had VHS but I forgot the name. VHS does not age well though and its getting harder to find VCRs to play them. If you have VHS tapes convert them to DVD or digital for hard drive.
I remember Ebay used to be a great place to buy old movies (VHS and DVD) before they banned porn. They also shut it down because people were selling bootleg copies. They used to sell old porn magazines there also. It was great in the early days.

FYI, I recently saw this new program X-Rated: The Greatest Adult Movies Of All-Time (2015) on Showtime. They presented what they considered to be the best adult movies of all-time from 1972 thru 2013. It's worth checking out but I would not consider this a definitive list by any means. It is heavily biased towards U.S. produced feature films which won AVN awards and it was produced by AVN founder Paul Fishbein. So you won't see any gonzo movies (e.g. Buttman) and euro movies (e.g. Woodman and Kovi's Private classics). That being said a lot of these movies would probably make my best of all-time list also.
Here is their list of best adult films of all-time:
Deep Throat 1972 (Gerard Damiano)
Behind The Green Door 1972 (Mitchell Bros)
Devil In Miss Jones, The 1973 (Gerard Damiano)
Opening Of Misty Beethoven 1976 (Radley Metzger/Henry Paris)
Barbara Broadcast 1977 (Radley Metzger/Henry Paris)
Debbie Does Dallas 1978 (Jim Clark)
Taboo 1980 (Kirdy Stevens)
Blonde Ambition 1981 (John & Lem Amero)
Neon Nights 1981 (Cecil Howard)
Roommates 1981 (Chuck Vincent)
Cafe Flesh 1982 (Rinse Dream)
Scoundrels 1982 (Cecil Howard)
Nothing To Hide 1983 (Anthony Spinelli)
Firestorm 1984 (Cecil Howard)
Hidden Obsessions 1992 (Andrew Blake)
Justine 1993 (Paul Thomas)
Latex 1995 (Michael Ninn)
Flashpoint 1998 (Brad Armstrong)
Looker 1998 (Nic Cramer)
Seven Deadly Sins 1999 (Ren Savant)
Dark Angels 2000 (Nic Andrews)
Fashionistas,The 2002 (John Stagliano)
Masseuse, The 2004 (Paul Thomas)
New Devil In Miss Jones, The 2005 (Paul Thomas)
Pirates 2005 (Joone)
Corruption 2006 (Eli Cross)
Upload 2007 (Eli Cross)
Fallen 2008 (Brad Armstrong)
8th Day, The 2009 (Ren Savant)
Wasteland 2012 (Graham Travis)
Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody 2012 (Axel Braun)
Underworld 2013 (Brad Armstrong)
Submission of Emma Marx, The 2013 (Jacky St James)
The program is hosted by Chanel Preston. They have some comments from current pornstars like Casey Calvert, Skin Diamond, Riley Ried, Stoya, Ash Hollywood, Kimberly Kane, Ana Foxx, Jesse Jane, Jenna Jameson, Manuel Ferrara, Savanna Samson, Eva Angelina, Jessica Drake, and Kayden Kross.
But more interesting to me are brief interviews with older classic stars many of which are no longer alive like John Leslie, Jamie Gillis, Gloria Leonard, and Marylin Chambers. It also has recent interviews with living old classics stars like Johnnie Keyes, Georgina Spelvin, Constance Money, Kay Parker, Eric Edwards, Kelly Nichols, Veronica Hart, Christy Canyon, Ron Jeremy, Richard Pacheco, Julia Ann, Janine Lindemulder, Paul Thomas, Mike Horner, and Shanna McCullough. They also have interviews with some of the directors whose movies they selected like Andrew Blake, Nic Cramer, Brad Armstrong, John Stagliano, and Alex Braun.
You can see the trailer for this program here

I dvred this. I was going to mention it, but being that I could not tell people it was upcoming I decided not to mention it. But you did a hell of a good job here with the list, I need to go back and watch the entire thing. I don't remember the director's name for "Taboo". But, I thought she was darn pretty and smart, I would love to make love to her, just saying....

MOD:
Don't make duplicate posts, you already have the topic that you started. Please see the PM you have been sent. Putting three duplicate posts throughout the forums is rather ridiculous.

That's a reasonably strong mainstream list. Would love to see that show.
