I keep the cover art in sleeve protectors in a binder and put a numbered sticker on each sleeve.
Then I bought a case of 100 cd jewel cases which is a very small box considering it holds 100 of them. Then I put the numbered sticker on each cd case that corresponds with the cover art #. The binder and box with the discs fit perfectly under my tv. When I feel like watching one, I flip through the binder and pick out the disc that I want to watch from the box.

I usually leave spaces here and there so that when I get new ones, I can put them in alphabetical order easier without having to rearrange the ENTIRE binder every time. I usually only have to rearrange a page or two.

This works great for me.

Not sure of the sizes available, but I use the 30 count holders, and when I fill one up, I buy another one.

(I do the same thing with my CDs, so when I get a new CD with an artist name beginning with "A", I have to move over 500 CDs to put it in.)

At the moment many of my DVDs are stored in CD jewel cases as well, but I would really like the DVDs to be in their original cases with the artwork. Separating the artwork from the cases reduces my feeling of owning an original. When I take out a DVD from a CD jewel case without any covers I somehow feel like playing a cheap copy. I know it's silly, and I don't have an idea how to say it to be more understandable :) Somehow I think that many covers are so well done and look so pretty and kind of artistic that it's a shame to separate them from the movies. Well, I guess that still sounds crazy, so I'll stop here :)

are these caselogic-binders safe ? I don't trust them that much. I never had the impression of them offering real protection to the discs. Have you made good experiences with it ? And now you made me curious about which and how many DVDs you own. Sorry if this question has been asked before. Do you generally archive Evil Angel DVDs that way to have them handy wherever you go to show them around, or do you have many more DVDs from other companies as well which you personally like very much ?

Oh well... I wanted to avoid this "replacement-orgy" :) I can understand you for doing that and I know I'm a perfectionist, too, and would rather spend 2 hours of resorting my discs than putting one disc where it doesn't belong, which is kind of strange since I'm quite crazy, spontaneous and disorganized in nearly everything else :)

Luckily I don't have the hassle of sorting hundreds of CDs since it's a lot easier for me to move one MP3 folder on my hard drive to another ;-)

Most of the ones I own are mainstream ones.

And I keep the Evil Angel ones and all of my other DVDs separate. (One place for Evil Angel, one place for other porn, one place for mainstream.)
There have been very few non-gay porn DVDs that I've liked enough to keep for more than a few months.
