Hi everybody,
the DVD-cover-art-storage thread inspired me to this one. I found similar threads via the search-function of the board, but what I found were rather polls like "Where do you store your DVDs" and most people answered "In the open, on a shelf" or "In a drawer".
I'd like to know if there are some clever DVD-storage systems available. Drawers aren't a very good idea since it's often difficult to see and get out every DVD. I once had them in a Drawer but had to pull out one or several other DVDs in order to get the one I wanted. My ideal of a clever DVD storage system would be some kind of Wurlitzer, where you can press a button and the correct DVD-case pops out somewhere :)
I'd also like to be able to store lots of DVDs, so a usual CD / DVD tower which is able to carry maybe 30 DVDs wouldn't be sufficient. Maybe some kind of a big turnable tower ?
Storing the DVDs in alphabetical order is also something I'd like to do, but once a new DVD arrives it would be an awful task to rearrange every single DVD in the collection just to be able to put the new one in its place.
Any ideas if such "clever" systems are available or any other good way to store the DVDs ?
Thanks for any hints.
