It's going to be directed by Kevin Moore, who some folks know from the podcast interview here on ADT. I'm excited about this. I'm always excited to see new directors at Evil, and for a dude who worked with John Leslie and Joey Silvera; I think he fits the mold. What do you guys think? [Link]

I think it's clear that everyone who posted before me is already aware of that fact, but I thought it could be clarified for later readers. And I think these scenes have probably already all been on pantypops.com. Not that I've ever joined the site to watch any of them, so they are still new to me. But nevertheless, congrats to Kevin. Maybe someday he will get a nice ownership deal. Some of his prior movies have been just okay or have ran hot and cold for me, but I think his Secretary's Day movies for Smash have been pretty great all around. Last January he took my picture with Misty Stone, with my little point and shoot. I had seen him talking to Rocco Siffredi in the aisle to the side of the Elegant Angel booth while I was in Misty's line, and when it was my turn to pose with her, I saw that he was standing just feet away and had finished his conversation with Rocco, so I asked him if he would take my picture, instead of the next person in the line. I guess he's also done a lot of camera and stills work for a lot of people besides those two. But the guys with their names in the big letters on the covers of Evil Angel movies would have been the ones to pick casts, themes, locations, etc. While some of the movies that he has directed himself have been more low rent by comparison. But nonetheless, I'm a fan. I wouldn't have had the cheek to have asked him to take my picture, or still like telling that story today if I wasn't. It was partly because he has joined fan forums and yahoo groups for girls who he has shot. To promote his movies to the fans of those girls, sure, but he was also interacting with us some, instead of just posting a press release and never being heard from again. And he just seemed nice. Click to expand I have to clarify one misconception that may exist... in keeping with John Stagliano's original mission to have directors own their movies, Buttman Magazine Choice DVD directors also own their movies and they too derive the lion's share from every revenue stream. The thing that differentiates Buttman Magazine Choice DVD from Evil Angel releases is that they are usually more ass-fetish or niche driven, handpicked by John for their appeal to a potentially smaller but more fanatic specialty audience (which usually includes John himself) and therefore priced a few dollars lower to offer consumers and retailers an opportunity to enjoy the Evil ethic even though the budgets, casts or run times might be smaller than their Evil Angel counterparts. Jay Sin started at Buttman Magazine Choice DVD. The Omar Galanti, Timo, Sean Michaels and now Kevin Moore movies are unusual, sexually adventurous and devoid of the formulas or format restrictions that are the province of the bigger studios. You could think of it as our "indie" label. As we've seen in Hollywood, "indie" movies often surprise the mainstream with their appeal to a sophisticated audience that sometimes would like to see something off the beaten path. Even in these transitive times, Stagliano is sticking to his original vision of an environment that fosters creativity. There may be some less successful experiments, but the long term investment invariably yields dividends. That's why Evil Angel will be here in the long run. Quality will always survive the trends.
