To answer DB's question, I, too, have read over the years that the "het" industry actors and directors shun male performers who have performed MM scenes. I have no doubt that we viewers wouldn't give a damn for 2 reasons. 1) Peter North is the prime example of a performer who is still loved by straight male viewers even though everyone knows he did MM scenes. Others include that guy who used to be with Jill Kelly whose name just jumped out of my brain, and Mr. Bigg of the Mr Bigg and His Bitches series. 2) Strictly straight viewers don't watch MM porn, so wouldn't know who was doing MM videos anyway...unless they were hardcore fans like we are. We're the minority, though.

So..it's the homophobia within the industry that's preventing the MM to MF crossover.

I'd like to explore Marvin's idea about straight stars "venturing" into MM action. I don't know if that's the way it would go. I'd think that if you're buff and big enough for gay porn, you're going to be told by agents when you first enter the biz that there's more money for you in gay porn. And if you turn it down then, when you're young and new, and when the difference between gay starting and het starting pay is so dramatic, then you're probably never gonna get into it.

I just want to stress that it's not my intention here to 'out' anyone in particular, and I assumed everyone already knew about Peter North. The fact that it doesn't seem to be a problem with his many fans both straight and gay is encouraging, so I'm sorry to hear that he still has issues with it. I had heard about Peter North's gay films years ago and it has never affected me one way or the other when watching him in scenes. He does a great job and that's all I ask.

I have always found it damn funny that most men love to watch women/women scenes in their porn, but if a guy touches another guys penis in a scene it's like the world has come to an end and hell has been unleashed. I'm not dying for male/male scenes in my porn, but if it cropped up I would either watch it or fast forward, depending on my mood and the quality of the scene.

"The Mile Bi Club" is the one bi-sexual video that I've seen. I have a "thing" for Holly Halston and I wanted to watch Holly and Troy in "hell bent for leather" action. I was curious about how I'd react to the "gay" element. Chi Chi Larue is a great director, and the video didn't disappoint.

I was truly blown away by the sincere passion that Troy and Holly showed for each other. I could feel the marriage connection between them and thought that their solo scene was maybe the hottest 1 on 1 scene I've ever seen. They just couldn't keep their mouths and hands off of each other -- incredible! I found myself feeling a little uncomfortable when Jullian Pierce joined them, but ultimately I found that second scene (or that second part of the first scene, hard to say how I'd categorize it) a turn on, too. It seemed like Holly was a kind of cheerleader for her husband's voracious sexuality, which sent a very positive and liberating message to me, the viewer.

The M/M scene with Jack Ryan and Todd Shore was fast-forward material for me. However, I really liked the G/G scene with T.J. Hart and Keri Windsor (I would have rated it higher than you did in your review). The last scene was also great -- hot, out-of-the-ordinary, convincingly pan-sexual.

I watched Mass Appeal 2 on VHS as a rental and would give it a 4 star rating. I haven't bought the DVD because of the $44-$60 price. I found a review here. It won the 2003 GAYVN Awards for Best Bi-Sexual Video, Best Director - Bisexual Video. This only means that there isn't many quality movies made in this genre.

The next day, as I was returning my rentals, I made a bee line directly for this tape. Holly and Troy's scene in this one starts out as two separate scenes (Holly with Jordan Haze in a shower and Troy with another guy in the bedroom). Eventually Holly & Jordan leave the shower and join the guys. IIRC, after some B/G B/G, it ended up with a threesome while Jordan masturbated.

I wasn't to big on the guy/guy scenes. But for some reason, I found the true bi-sexual scenes to be a turn-on. I think that dumblonde's point in the first post here is a good one. I'm concerned about Mass Appeal 2, because it was released by Odyssey who is no longer in business. ADE had it listed as "on order", while X-Rent had a stock status of "unknown". None of the other stores carrying it have real time inventory, so who knows whether they have it or not.
