Why the washed-out pictures with the "ADULTDVDTALK.com" sprawled across them all-of-a-sudden?

Visit the forum front page and enter it again and that should go away.

It's an anti-leeching mechanism. I haven't gotten around to correcting the root of the problem.
The image watermarking/wash-out is based on a cookie that's set when you click through the entrance page. That cookie times out after 24 hours. The forum uses session variables to keep track of your visit. It only reads the cookie at the beginning of the session. When you see the washed-out images it's because your cookie has timed out but your forum session is still valid. It's a bug that I'm aware of but the fix isn't real simple to implement and I'm too lazy to get around to handling it lately.
BTW, we wash-out and watermark these images as a way to discourage hot-linking to the images in the forum. Many of the images that people are uploading to our servers are 150k+ in size. If someone is going to hot-link to it and steal our bandwidth we're going to as least get something out of it by having the site name plastered obnoxiously across the center of the image.
I've written most of the code already to allow members to watermark their own images. I've also written most of the code for people to build their own photo galleries from the images they upload. I should really finish that stuff up some day.

I forgot to mention that you can fix it by going though the entrance page.

Also, our web server instructs your browser to cache the images for 24 hours. So if you've seen the watermarked version you'll most likely need to clear your cache or do a crtl+R to force it to reload the images after going through the entrance page.

How the hell does photobucket et al keep people from posting to their sites. They seem to be pretty good at blocking that sort of thing.

Why did I say that? I meant linking to their site.

^ Photobucket does not block people from linking images, as that's their business model: A place for people to host images. Something like 75% of all images on myspace are linked from Photobucket.

Yep, that's Photobucket's business model. They encourage people to hotlink images.
Our image hosting is intended to support reviewers and forum members. Anything else is a waste of bandwidth IMO.

You can currently delete them. You can also rotate them and do a few other things I don't quite remember at the moment.

This should be fixed now. You should not see the washed out images ever again if you've been through the entrance page withing the past 24 hours.
