Sounds like a bit of a tedious procedure rather than simple and straight, but it also sounds like they are working on it and trying to get it solved.

You still need to click on the login at the top of the page and you password still won't work that way but page down a bit to where it says having problem logging in and click where it says SSL LOGIN and then you are taken to a secure page and there you will type your password and it should work fine.
