| Mr. Hand Member 146 Posts 5/01 |  Posted - Jul 24 2002 : 11:29AMThis topic will probably be moved to the Shopping section but what the hell: I purchase most of my Adult DVD's from DVD Explorer and would like to hear from anyone else that has purchased from them recently. Usually if they're out of stock, they'll get the item back in within a couple days and ship it out ASAP since they're in the heart of Porn Country. But something seems totally fucked up since they've changed their database. I've been waiting for over a month for a couple of titles that I've ordered. Their web sight shows that the DVD's are in stock, so what the hell are they waiting for?? They told me over the phone that they're "still waiting for those particular items..." Maybe they should go back to their old database. If I wanted service this shitty I would have ordered from DVD Empire! Has anyone else had problems ordering from DVD Explorer lately? Thanks

Since it was my first purchase from them, I needed to know why my Internet account showed the items weren't shipped, but in fact they were. As regards, DVD Empire, I sent for a DVD off them and it still hasn't turned up after two weeks. They say it's been shipped, I am not so sure. Regards,  [Link] |

astroknight  Questionable Moderator Tastes so good... 4187 Posts 11/99 | Posted - Jul 24 2002 : 1:28PM For the benefit of some of the new people here, DVD Explorer used to be one of the affiliate stores and then got let go. That should tell everybody something right there. For that reason, I don't think I'll be shopping there again, just like it looks like I won't be shopping at DVD Exotic after I didn't get the kickback from my last order. The biggest problem I had with DVD Explorer is that it appears you can NEVER get off their e-mail list. I tried everything I could to get rid of their mailings since they were dropped. Replying to the e-mail, changing it in my profile there, everything except physically calling them and telling them to get lost, which I shouldn't have to do. The onyl way to get rid of them was to add them to the spam filters. [Link] |

In regards to you being a "moderator".... you can show some courtesy to your members (Mr. Hand) and explain them the polices rather than "chewing their butt". In regards to ADT and us being omitted from the affiliate program at ADT..... This matter was due to a business, and technology decision, and I can assure you that it was not due to our customer service. Also, as I recall, I don't RECALL seeing/hearing you at that time...!!! While we are on the subject we did dropped an e-mail, on April 3rd 2002, to ADT in regards to their affiliate program. And yes… we do "respect dearly" their affiliate program otherwise we would have never initiate an e-mail back on April 2002. As to the "30 minutes"..... it was a technology issue which is not longer an issue. Than there was another issue…. In the thread that you mentioned above, we were accused about “bad mouth” ADT’s site to a mutual customer. It was never brought to our attention till January when I dropped ADT an e-mail clarifying this alleged “bad mouth” incident, which accidentally they didn’t bother to reply. At this point, and after our e-mails on January and April, we practically gave up on ADT and as you can see it was not a "30 minutes" :-) Regards E- http://www.adultdvdexplorer.com [Link] |

We provide sample code written in ASP which is a Microsoft-centric environment for the most part. Folks that aren't running ASP would have to write their own export program from scratch which might take as little as an hour or as much as two days depending on various factors.
