A simple answer is that Jenna J is hot! The more complex answer...Well, porn viewers tend to fall within two categories: those who may want to be among a group that shares enthusiasm for a particular porn star and those that want to feel as if they have discovered some hidden gem. I tend to lean a little more towards the latter. As far as the first group is concerned you will notice that through any period of porn there are a few girls that stand out among the rest. In the past there were girls like Ginger Lynn and Racquel Darrian. If you have tracked recent price searches and review searched here you will probably get the opinion that Jenna J and Tera Patrick are by far the most popular. Both are very good looking and have made me drool on numerous occasions. But, are they so much better looking than other girls? Do they offer so much hotter sex than other girls? In truth, probably not.

So why? The ability to market oneself has a lot to do with it. Jenna starred in Private Parts, she offered wood producing columns and pictorials in Club International.

The porn industry seems to have a need to have one or two dominant stars at any one point in time. Right now it seems to be Jenna Jameson transitioning to Tera Patrick. (With not everyone accepting Tera, probably because she's not blonde and not 100% white; though both of those things make her core fan group like her all the more.)

It seems to me that this super star business is created mostly around guys who don't rent all that much porn. The once in a while types. They want to know "who's the hottest". Complex answers are not acceptable. One or two names please.

So there's this pressure for someone to fill that position. It's more a role than someone being really clearly head and shoulders above others. The more you know about porn and porn stars, I think the more you tend to see it that way.
