My girlfriend and I love watching some of the late night stuff on skinemax, as well as some real porn. She suggested that we start a bit of a "collection" of our own. Now here's where we need help. We would like to get some video's that show a little more than showtime/skinemax. It seems to get any actual penetration/blowjobs you have to get the hardcore stuff which many times is kind of gross and kills the mood. Neither one of us likes the stuff where they like zoom way in for the "crotch shot." Basically we are looking for a video similar to a skinemax movie (a plot is a definite plus, as well as "love making" as apposed to just hardcore fucking) that shows a little more than you would see on TV. You've got varying degrees of softcore stuff (ranging from the rather tame T&A to some of the modern Cinemax stuff to porn cable versions). And you have varying degrees of hardcore (from Candida Royale to Andrew Blake all the way to the other end of the spectrum). There's not much, if any, middle ground, where there's the eroticism of a softcore movie with just a little bit of hardcore thrown in. Let's look at some of the options: 1. Candida Royalle - Yes, it's couples-oriented and plot driven, but in my opinion, they are really just pornos with a sensitive wrapper thrown around them to not turn off wives and girlfriends. No facials here, but you've got plenty of intercourse and oral sex--not just a few seconds here and there, but minutes worth in explicit glory. 2. Adam & Eve, Vivid, etc. - They put out some softer hardcore, couples movies. But they also, in the same movies show 30+ minutes of footage that leaves nothing to the imagination, including anal, girl-girl, and facials. 3. Andrew Blake, Cameron Grant, etc. - Great looking porn with lots of teasing, costumes, exotic locations, etc...but generally no plot, and either a lot of hardcore or a lot of girl-girl. 4. Art films - There have been a few non-porn films that show some hardcore (but the sex is not the driving factor), such as "In the Realm of the Senses," "Romance," or "Caligula." But I don't consider any of those to be "erotic" like one would consider "Lady Chatterly's Lover" erotic. 5. Anything that can be shown on cable - Some of the Cinemax-type stuff being shown today is quite erotic in my book, sometimes more satisfying than any hardcore video. But...no penetration, no penises, no vaginal lips...nothing more than hard "R" at the most. If there are any movies out there that manage to be "just over the line," I've yet to find them. It seems that softcore movies (and the beautiful actresses who star in them) won't ever go over that line, and the hardcore ones don't seem to want to be viewed as "soft." It's a pity that couples have to either stay with cable (with their depictions of "making love") or go full-blown hardcore (where they not only show the actual act, but even if the plot says "making love," what comes across is "fucking." No wonder pornography has such a stigmatism! I appreciate nearly all forms of erotica, from the tame to the hardcore, so this is one area that I'd love to see remedied. But I don't think it's going to be porn crossing over to mainstream, but rather some of the mainstream erotica productions getting more risque. Just my two cents, - Saki [Link] |
