^ I'll defer to the mods, but my recollection is that the site owners were being a bit nasty and territorial and demanded that the thread be closed and any references to their sites be removed. The thread was a huge mess too. And the site owner/owners were pretty disrespectful to anyone who said anything even mildly against the sites. I can't imagine that the site owners had any legal recourse, but I suspect that the mods were happy to comply. Good riddance, I say.
