I have seen the issue of coercive directors brought up repeatedly on this board before. And, usually, the same directors are always mentioned and accused of doing this. For example, some posters have said that Vince Voyeur is guilty of coercing his female talent into doings that they are reluctant to do. In defense of Vince, I happen to be a fan of his; have seen several of his films, and I have to disagree with such statements against him.
Perhaps I am out of the loop, but I do not recall him ever trying to coerce or force anything upon his actresses in any of his films. For those who state otherwise, can you provide any examples that may prove the contrary? I have been reading as several posters write that he is coercive, but no one ever says why they think that. Any movie titles, DVD extra moments, etc., that would serve as examples? I am just curious to know why he is always mentioned when I, personally, have noticed no such behavior.

I've seen a few Vince Voyeur movies and in each one I felt really uncomfortable with the way the women were treated. So much unneccassary misogynistic things occurring which turned my stomach. The Initiations line is pretty appalling. Women give blow jobs or whatever and if it's not up to "par" then at the end of the movie a sign comes up on the screen over their face "failed" or something like that. Like what the fuck??? If I was a porn star and had done a scene and that was the result, that I had "failed" I would be horrified - I doubt I'd have the esteem to keep working. Also I saw some of the World Sex Tour movies, in particular a scene with a european girl who couldn't speak english was pretty terrible. There were 3 guys involved and they were laughing at her because they could "call her all sorts of names and cum all over her and do what they wanted and she wouldn't know what they were saying". Meanwhile this woman is doing like a triple penetration - get some respect guys. It's pretty hilarious that they put down the girls and yet Vince's performace aint exactly award winning - he always has to jerk for like half an hour to pop - thrilling to watch. I can't remember specific titles sorry; I've tried to put them out of my mind: I'd rather watch positive performances. I always steer clear of the Anabolic section at an adult store. That's a pity because they do shoot some great girls. But I always know that I'd prefer to watch those girls in a movie by a different company where they're treated better.

Then you'd better stay away from the Red Light District section as well, more Vince stuff there!

As far as the "Initiations" line is concerned, I find the whole pass/fail thing to be really a gimmick. No one really "fails" those things. I hardly think that is at all being in any way coercive. Alot of the girls who "fail" those Inititiations still pop in other flicks and end up establishing careers as porn actresses. For example, I can recall Belladonna, as a abrand new actress, making one of her debuts in an "Initiations" movie. She ended up "failing" the scene. However, she came back in a later installment of the series, passed it, and now she is one of the most popular actresses in porn. All in all, the way I see it, if people are so thin-skinned on the the issue of coersion or exploitation, perhaps they should stay clear of porn. It's an industry built on sex, folks. People in it know what they're getting into before they enter the industry, and there is always the option to leave if they are uncomfortable with it.
