A VHS tape I'm looking for is available at Excalibur Films (www.excaliburfilms.com). But I'm not sure if I like the "look" of their site. Something is setting off a red flag for me, but I'm not sure what. Does anyone have any comments on them? Are they a decent retailer? Worth my business?
Ordered a Metro DVD from them which is normally discontinued. It's was 'Out of stock' on all other resellers. Get it from them in about 14 days (to germany). I think they stock a lot of titles which you can't get elsewhere!
I have placed several orders with them. Based upon that experience I can tell you that they are a legitimate business, however, they do tend to exaggerate what they have available. So, feel free to order from them, but understand that just because they have it listed doesn't mean they'll be able to get it for you every time. If they can't, you'll get your money back.

Hardware's experience pretty much mirrors mine. I've had mostly good experiences with them. If you are seeking VHS stuff, I think that they are one of the better dealers. Still, what they have in stock is often not reflected so well on the web pages.
They are a pretty good source of movies that are not available elsewhere. Apparently, they have permission from many companies to manufacture their own tapes. If you order an "out of print" movie from them, you will likely receive a tape with a generic label and box. However, in every case where I have received a tape like this, the quality has been on par with a tape from the original manufacturer.
They do this with DVDs as well and send out DVD-R's without telling the customer. I ended up ordering one that was on a DVD-R back when I didn't have any equiptment to read it and they ended up sending I think it was four more copies as exchanges before finally crediting back my money. Although I got my money back in the end I was unsatisfied since on each return I wrote that I couldn't play DVD-R's and they kept sending a new one to me. As a result I doubt I will ever order from them again. This has been my only experience with them.
They listed Taboo #1, Taboo #2 and Taboo #3 available on DVD. I ordered all three of them on November 22nd. I got #1 in about 2 weeks and #2 in about 2 more weeks. No #3. I emailed them yesterday and asked when they would ship it out. They replied that it had not yet been released on DVD yet from the manufacturer. They will let me know when a release date is announced. ???? What a crock!! If they haven't even released it from the manufacturer, why have you got it up for sale on your site. They suck! I will not be buying from them anymore.
I used them three times. Twice for Vivid or Wicked DVDs, i don't remember, and i got them in no more than 3 days each, but the third times, i have ordered Swedish Erotica tapes, but after 2 months they e-mailed me that those tapes were out of print, but they still have them listed, so i doubt i will ever use them.
