The Wicked and Ed Powers thread and the mentioning of condom use made me think of this question. Which companies are (still) condom-only? I know Vivid, VCA and Wicked were in the past but did they change their policy?

And how about companies who will never use condoms? Extreme Associates Evasive Angles and JM Productions are the only two companies I know that never used condoms in their movies.

We (Pirate Booty) used to be condom-only in 2004, but we dropped that policy in 2005. It made actresses happy, but it kept away distributors. Now we handle condoms on a scene-by-scene basis.

I think RLD and PXP are in the no condoms policy area.

We are also have a no condom policy. We used them in two scenes last year when everything was going on just so we could finish a movie, but that was it!

I have no idea John, I have only seen two she-male titles, Something Extra #2 and My Girlfriends Cock. In Something Extra #2 all the scenes but one had condoms, but I watched 'My Girlfriends Cock' and it had condoms in only 2 of the 6 scenes. Hell the first scene ended in cream pie!

I really don't dig the she-male stuff, Just try to "mix thing up" around Christmas as a bit of a joke.

The last two years on Christmas day I have posted reviews for she-male titles.

I know VCA makes it optional-most scenes don't have condoms. However, often you'll find actresses who work condom only and follow that routine consistantly. Anybody know about Wicked? I just rented a new U.S. release specifically to see if it was still condom only and it was. They even had a real life couple where condoms were used. I guess I won't be renting another Wicked movie until I hear elsewhere. I know Wicked shoots European titles. Anybody know if those are condom only?

Those are Marc Dorcel titles that they repackage and distribute in the US market. Marc Dorcel's feature titles usually have condoms.

When I was at Devils Films, all our Shemale movies had condoms but we shot here in the US.

According to an AVN article published today, Wicked Pictures is now the last remaining company at which condoms are mandatory.

I know Wicked's new company with Vince will be non condoms as he hates to use them in his work.

While it's nice to see that Vivid has gone condom-optional, given the typical turnaround of a Vivid title from shooting to store shelf, we probably won't see their first non-condom scene on DVD until sometime around mid-2008.

When did Vivid relent on their condom policy?

Nevermind, maybe I should read the urls in a thread before I speak :D

That's okay, Karlson; I click very few links myself. Here's a quick answer from the article, for the benefit of nonclickers:

Very nice to see Vivid leaving the choice up to the people involved.

I guess all the other companies found out that condom-only does not sell after all.
