The reason I ask is because I haven't really explored past the Golden Age of porn, and would like to go further and watch some shot-on-film, professional films from 1985 to the present. I'm having enough trouble deciphering which films from 1982-1985 were shot on film (most of 1985's output in particular was video-produced), but that's for a different thread. I'll start off by listing titles that I KNOW were shot on film. BABYFACE 2 (1986) I would greatly appreciate any further titles I should watch. I know that 35mm and 16mm films in the Video Age are quite rare, so there can't be too many of them, can there? Thanks for any help and contributions to this list!! [Link] |

For the remainder of her career from '85 -'93 she shot mostly on film with the exception of a few Vivids done on video. A good example of stars shooting in the two different formats is Hyapatia herself. In 1986 she released two hot flicks Wild Wild West (Essex) & Tasty (Caballero). The first was shot on video & the second was shot on film. But as I heard Hyapatia say in an interview once, shooting on video lowered the standards of porn films and the salaries along with it. I take it that it was one of the main reasons she left porn when she did. [Link] |

The combination of Henri Pachard as director and Alex De Renzy as cinematographer (and I've understood, co-director of the sex scenes) was - and is - unbeatable. I still have Part two on VHS, Part one ("The Rise") was lost a few cross-country moves back. Has this made the leap to DVD? As one release or two?
