I have no contacts at all in this industry so I thought I'd throw up a post on here and see if anyone had any speculative advice or contacts. I've read that most directors and producers do not care at all about music and have no budgets at all for it- however, on all of these websites- logos, short clips, introduction videos etc. there is almost always music, and that has to come from somewhere... I remember the first time I received an AVN nomination for best music only to get beat by Eddie Van Halen. That was crazy! There really is not very much money if there is money at all for an outside guy to produce music for porn but it is a way to see your work get published and presented. There was a guy a few years ago that used to send me music and really wanted to get into porn music. I cannot remember his name but he was REALLY good but I had no need for him because that was my favorite jobs. A year or so later he called me up and thanked me for a couple of referrals and told me that he had just finished scoring Pirates for DP. So you never know but you have to catch the right producer at the right time. The next project I will be scoring is for our parody of Charlie's Angels called Not Charlie's Angels XXX (Clever huh?) If you score that type of 70s band/orchestra style I would be happy to listen to some of your music. Who knows, I might not find the time to do it myself but understand that the money would be between zero and a few hundred bucks only. Yet it would be in a pretty big beautiful movie.
