Ok, been watching porn for 20 years now...

I've watched condom/testing arrive, hit a frenzy, then settle into a "normal" business practice.

Ok, so I "get" all condom movies. Someone (studio or director) says this feature will have all vag/anal penetration covered. Check.

I also get a particular performer, usually female, says she's condom only. Check.

I ALSO get (although I don't really get from a scientific standpoint) the girls that are condom only for anal only.

Now, what I don't get and what I hope some people here in the biz can shed light on:

I have a scene where the guy does NOT wear a condom for anal, but does for vaginal penetration earlier in the scene. Surely that's not her method of birth control? What other reason?

Another: Watching a movie with a particular starlet and some guys will wear condoms with her, some won't. Film is done on location, so they must have been done at least near the same time. They can't ALL be her significant other, so why the condoms for some? Doesn't everyone get tested to even work? How is it handled with the test results....do performers get to go into a room and see everyone's test? Does anyone ever challenge a test and demand a single performer only wear a condom?

Final one: I have some scenes where the guy uses a condom when he begins penetration, but later in the scene, usually in another position, he no longer is wearing one. I get the edits, but why is it suddenly ok for him to not be wearing one?

Condom for vag only could very well be for birth control, but more likely is related to your question of why a scene starts with rubber but ends bareback. A lot of men have trouble performing with a sheath, and if there's enough of a problem, the restriction may get lifted if the woman is ok with it. Regardless of test results, there are some performers who will only do bareback scenes with men they know and trust. Not a bad policy if you think about it.

In my opinion the ONLY policy is "trust nobody but you".
"Our girls" must be protected.
I´m a pro-condom use.
