I regularly subscribe to porn websites and I don't see an increase in condom use. Big porn websites like EvilAngel, Private, HardX, etc. never use condoms in their vids.
I found this article from november 2006 (https://www.iol.co.za/news/world/no-more-condom-free-porn-for-france-304593). In the article you can read that if you wanna air porn on French cable television (Pay channels) it is only allowed if condoms are used. So that is the reason that in French vids they are used. And those will be the studios who also show this vids on Pay channels.
I am only watching porn without condoms. Must sexier and hotter to see. So no condom porn for me.

safe sex can be erotic and should be shown in porn. I'm not saying every scene should have condoms but we should have scenes showing condom use. If you don't like condoms in your scenes don't watch, it's that easy. But we need porn to look more realistic and show real sexuality.
To answer the question about why condoms are making a comeback, maybe the obvious reasons such as to reduce the chances of transmitting HIV, Hep-C, unplanned pregnancies, and so on. Harm reduction, in other words. Plus, people have said they're required in France. Though I don't get turned on by condom-less porn any more than porn with condoms, I had the opposite impression and thought that condom use was going down in porn. Somebody on another thread said they've become virtually non-existent in porn since 2017 (with I'm guessing France as an exception) and mentioned how the last U.S.-based company to require them (Wicked Pictures) no longer does.
If there is an increase in condom use, it could also be because with the expansion of the Internet, more performers are producing their independent content and some may opt to use condoms and don't have to give into the demands of production companies to get work.
^"I don't get turned on by condom-less porn any more than porn with condoms"
Condoms don't turn me on. Bodily fluids do turn me on. So I strongly prefer without condom. Obviously STI/STD and unwanted pregnancies suck. I guess it's all about the raw sex experience, the freedom of it and a bit of filthiness.
If bodily fluids turn people on, there are some scenes where guys wear condoms during the sexual intercourse, but not during oral or the pop shot, so you can still see bodily fluids. That might not be everybody's "cup of tea," but just saying... Then as you mentioned, there are also real-life couples who most likely don't use condoms with each other.Edited by - Tessa on 2/3/2023 9:51:36 AM

That's what happens in 99% of all scenes with condom uses in them. The guy takes the condom off at the end and cums on her/his body. Watching real couples have sex always makes for a better scene anyway. I really don't see that much of a rise in condoms from any major studio. I've only seen it from the studios I've named and maybe a couple of LustCinema/ Xconfessions movies or scenes or with some queer studios like Crashpad and PinkLabel.TV
Yeah, that's what I figured. It would be odd to have a porn scene where the guy pops inside the condom. There are creampie scenes where viewers don't actually see him ejaculate as it happens, but that's different.
Safe sex erotic? I can only think of one example. Years ago, there was a low rent company A&B and Ona Zee's cousin Nadine and another girl were doing about 50 guys. After about 40 guys busted on the girls, this one black dude fills a rubber with a big load of jizz. The other girl wrings the rubber out onto Nadine's face and body, then rubs her cum covered tits all over Nadine's face and tits to spread the cum around. That was hot and sleazy, but not erotic.
If porn were to be more realistic and show real sexuality as you say, you can basically kiss most porn goodbye was most of what is shown is not realistic or real sexuality. It's quite the opposite actually.
As far as you are saying, "we should" and "we need" you might need those things but I don't so that eliminates the whole "we" concept.

^ Don't think I have ever seen a scene where they did oral with a condom on. Have you? please, tell me about this scene and where I find it. Edit: I have seen condom use during a BJ scene a couple of times but this is so rare and most of the time barely notice ^^ I don't know why you're so triggered by my comments. Again, nobody forcing you to watch porn that has condom use in it, and most of the porn out now doesn't use condoms. I was clearly saying we should ALSO show SOME condom use in porn. And kissing most porn "goodbye" would be a good thing because 90% of porn is a "range "of mediocre to just bad. But if you're happy with the piss-poor quality of porn nowadays, so be it. Have fun watching boring and uninspiring porn but I'll pass.
Agreed, Will, and I'm glad you said something. You specifically mentioned that it's fine to have some porn without condoms, which applies to the vast majority of porn so I don't know why people complain about the small percentage that does include condoms. As you mentioned, if people want condom-less porn, there are so many options. Also, saying the word "we" just means more than one person, not everybody. You don't have to be included in the "we." When you said "we" should show some condom use in porn, that's not the same as claiming everybody wants this or that everybody has to use condoms or only watch condom porn. Thus, I'm also unclear as to why anybody would be triggered by your comments.
That said, Mike's comments about the creative use of a condom also grabbed my attention. I didn't know of anybody ejaculating inside of a condom in porn until now. Though rubbing the cum all over somebody doesn't turn me on nor offend me or really interest me at all, I am interested in the creative use of condoms. It may be worth it to watch the scene for that reason.

^ Thank you Tessa I was wondering, have you seen the 90's lesbian classic Safe is Desire ? It shows a lot of very erotic safe sex condom use, they use dental dams, gloves, and condoms on their strap-ons. I watched it during for online Porn Film Festival

^ Dude, "we" as the porn industry as a whole. Maybe, I should have used better grammar since I guess you had a hard time understanding what I was saying. But again, nobody said you asked for condoms and nobody was putting you in the "we" statement. now if you don't have anything else to add let's drop it and move on. Also, As Tessa said, I just saw that all of Wicked new scenes are condom free.
I subscribe to xvideo red so I see videos from a range of studios, condoms make me feel that someone is dirty. been watching xxx for over 50 years, seems much more prevalent to me. I'd upload examples but I don't want to infringe anyones copyright. bang bros bella bellz "Big Booty Babe Bella Bellz Boldly Bangin' On The Bang Bus" is an example.

Most of the posts have been deleted because of the hack but a couple of people said that condom use in porn isn't really on the rise. And the studios that were "condoms Only" switch back to the performer's decision on condom use. You're using a tube site, trying to learn how to use the search engine. I never had a problem finding scenes without condoms on tubesites and I'm not even a subscribe to any tube site
I watch about 100 videos a day and from the content on [mod edit: name of tube site removed.] and [mod edit: name of tube site removed.] I find condoms are about 30%.
I've heard studios say it's the performers choice, but I'm not sure how common it is. Some may say performers can choose to leave, but I'm referring to the choice to do scenes with condoms. I don't remember any studios asking me if I wish to use a condom and Score specifically made sure before they booked me that I didn't require condoms. I'm not slamming them for that and appreciate their honesty, especially since I made the trip from Vegas to Miami for the shoot and they turned out to be a good studio to work for. Though it was at their expense, I imagine it would suck for somebody who is condom-only to make that trip and not be informed until they get there that they'll need to do the scene condom-less or leave and not get paid. Plus, Score would be out the money they paid for airfare and hotel (unless they live locally), which can make it in their best interest to be up front about this.
Then again, I didn't do porn full time other than a month or 2 I spent in the San Fernando Valley staying at a producer's home and paying rent. This may be why I was fortunate not to catch anything, though I knew there was a risk. Plus, the videos I did were mostly in 2002 with the last one in 2004, so optional condom use may be more common now than I'm aware of. Yet, various performers have said that if they were to do condom-only, they would be replaced and get little to no work. It's a business and there's clearly customer demand for no condoms. I know of a very small percentage of female performers at the time I worked who were condom-only, but if most of us were to do that, I don't think we'd all get work.
Wicked stopped using condoms a couple of years ago, to my knowledge the only two studios that use them are Dorcel and CherryPimps (But only in the WildOnCamScenes) I haven't seen any new studios start using them so how are they "making a comeback" ?
^ Bang Bros use condoms in some scenes. Certainly not the majority, but I have seen them in some scenes there since I started my membership with them 3 years ago. Personally I'm not bothered too much by their use, though my liking of creampies means I don't want them to be in every scene either.
Further to the point Tessa made, I think I remember April O'Neil becoming condom only and it essentially resulting in her B/G work falling of the edge of a cliff, sadly.
If women don't do both B/G and G/G, this can limit the amount of scenes we get (especially with refusing B/G). If I were to say I'll only perform with women, I wouldn't have gotten most of the scenes I did, which wasn't that many since I didn't do porn fulltime. Though I don't remember hearing of April O'Neil until you brought her up, I see how doing condom only would limit the amount of B/G scenes she gets and imagine this would be the case with most women. I know of a woman at the time I worked who was condom only and got multiple B/G scenes, including working for companies who were otherwise condom-less; but I'll go out on a limb and say she was the exception and likely would have gotten even more work if she didn't require condoms. However, though I can't speak for her, maybe she was still satisfied with the amount of scenes she got and condom-less wasn't worth the added risk to her despite the testing that was in place. To each their own.
^^^+^^^^ i have only seen a single April O'Neil scene in which her partner does not use a condom (long, long time ago with Ryan Madison and it's supposed to be a creampie). I thought it was a bit weird, but now that i've seen it mentioned, it makes perfect sense that all of her other partners had condoms. Her list of don'ts is big tho.
