Probably there was testing readily available in Prague and the guys just felt like they wouldn't take the risk.On a more general note, a lot of yankee companies just shot the seldom movie (or even single scenes) with some condom back in mid '98. Then most of them changed their minds when they saw that selling publishing rights of condomized movies in Europe was really difficult. But, IIRC, the only company that had a strict no condom policy no matter what was Extreme Associates. They really never shot even just one "protected sex" scene. [Link] |

This is a company that taunted the Feds into indicting them. Responsibilty for actions is not one of Rob Blacks predominant traits. Frankly, I am not that bothered by condomization of porn movies. Sure, I prefere them bareback, but I won't skip a flick that I think I can enjoy only because rubbers are used in it. For instance - and I don't say it just because Quasar is involved in the discussion - I recently bought a bunch of Metro DVDs from that period (from the "Air Tight" and "Back Seat Driver" series) because I knew I would have enjoyed the quality of the sex, of the performers and of the camera work, altought I perfectly knew that all the scenes had mandatory condoms. The reflections in my previous post were more done on a sort of "insider" point of view. Back in '99-'00, for a few months I had been doing some website work for an Italian porn company named Wonderful Life, who was the official local distributor of Vivid movies. [Link] |
