Warning, big plot spoiler ahead. Normally that wouldn't matter too much in a porn movie, but it might actually be good to hear this one if you think you might watch this. Anyway, be warned.

So this looks like a simple, average feature premise from Brad Armstrong and Wicked. A guy comes home and finds a note on the bed from his wife. The movie unfolds as Julia Ann confesses this and that sordid episode in voice-over. The scenes are all of Julia being a bad, bad girl, and her guilt has caused her to leave him. So far, so standard.

Now we just need a little wrapup scene to end the movie. This is what we get: As we hear the end of the letter in Julia's voice, the husband picks up a handgun, sucks the barrel and blows his head off. We end on an image of the blood-spattered letter.

Yikes. That's a bit of a bonekill, isn't it? There are so many easier ways to play your way off the stage -- Julia could walk back in and ask for forgiveness; the husband could shrug his shoulders and say "I'm glad she got that off her chest" and then drill the maid -- any number of scenarios. This seems like a very odd choice, and counterproductive. If this were a non-porn movie I wouldn't begrudge the shockingly downbeat ending, but it seems inappropriate here. Isn't it?

For what it's worth, "Confessions" is pretty decent, otherwise. If you like Julia Ann (I like her more and more these days), she's in every scene. Lonnie is new to me, and she's stunningly beautiful in a g/g with Julia. I have to believe the ending will weird some people out, though.
