I'll try to give you a brief review... Cool devices is probably some of the sickest and most depraved stuff I've ever seen, whether that's good or not depends on your POV
Personally, if this were live action as opposed to animation, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to watch. The 3 dvds are divided into 11 episodes, each apparently done by a different team of writers/artists and each storyline totally unrelated to the others. Artwork seems very average compared to other anime titles I've seen. The content, however, is anything but average. We got here pretty much anything you could think of that can be done to a person: we got bondage, torture, gagging, enemas, whipping, golden showers, incest, piercings, verbal abuse and humiliation... there seems to be a heavy emphasis on S&M throughout. But to put it in perspective, this kind of stuff is NOT exactly my cup of tea, but I think I enjoyed the dvds nonetheless. (I think
) What I DID like was that unlike other adult animes I've seen (Urotsukidoji, La Blue Girl), this series features human to human sex only, rather than human to alien/tentacle sex. Also, it runs almost like a real porno! Setup/foreplay, oral, vaginal/anal, and cumshot! Cumshots and facials in a cartoon? Very cool! Packaging is similar to the cases Nutech used for the La Blue Girl discs... they're not amarays, they're not alphas, they're not snappers, dont know what they are, but I think they suck. Cool box, but its flimsy. Features include some stills, cool animated menus, and thats about it I think. Dialogue is in Japanese in 2.0 stereo sound, with English subtitles. No english track, can't remove the subtitles.
I paid $49.95 for this set at DVD Empire when it first came out, and now Im kicking myself in the ass 'cause Five Star has it for $15 bucks less now (if I had just waited a few weeks!! DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!) PLUS they got that $10 coupon thats good till the end of the week. I gotta recommend this set of course to the S&M crowd but also to anyone who needs a change of pace from the same ol' same ol' live action porno. Definitely not a couples piece though.
