All or practically all commercial DVDs have copy protection these days - but how about porn discs ?
Can somebody tell me the position ?

yeah, i've noticed RED Light District, Digital Sin New Sensations, Evasive Angles have copy protection. Because of bootlegging of course, but i think you have to let the consumers make the decision, just like downloading for free or pay service. I think it's better for the company not to copy protect, i mean since they've got the LOGO on the right hand side, like RED Light. That's how i found out about different Porn companies, through a friend's home made VHS MIX TAPE of different scenes. Now people burn them on DVD and pass around and it gathers WORD OF MOUTH advertising which is more reliable than any PRESS release. AS A TRUE FAN, PEOPLE SHOULDN'T PROFIT OF OTHER'S WORK. JUST ENJOY IT AND support it.

Since there is no equivalent industry group to the MPAA in porn, there is no mandate to copy protect DVD's. Companies decide on an individual basis if and how to deal with copyright infringement.
