What is the correct way to measure your cock? ALthough I am aware there is no size cops or international committees on this. I can not help but wonder what measuring tape some guys use or wheter they don't know how to convert from metric to sae. What is girth? And how do you measure it. Is it better to have someone do it for you? Just curious? I have measured out from the topside of my cock, is 6 inches. I have used a 1.5" or a 1.75" (Not 2") cock ring. What girth would that make me? I can get another inch if I measure from the underside?
ROTFLMAO I'm not laughing at you, Regis, just at the topic. I think you hit the nail on the head with your comment about units of measure: most men (especially gay - or gay-for-pay - porn stars) seem to measure in centimeters and then call it inches!!!
According to the deeply-buried footnotes in the methodology sections of medical research tomes (including Kinsey and Masters & Johnson), length should be measured exactly as height (for your body) is measured: a ruler should be placed flush with your abdomen at the base of your erect penis and along its top surface. The reading should be taken as the number (inches, centimeters, whatever) that aligns with the tip of your penis (remember the old book on your head with your back against the wall deal?). Obviously, if you have a significant curve, some amount of fudging must be allowed.
As for girth (which is the measurement around your penis, or its circumference), the methodology specifies that the measurement be taken with a flexible tape measure approximately one inch (or 2.5cm) behind the glans.

With regard to the size of the penis, some Tantric scriptures quote fantastic lengths varying anywhere from 25 to 30 cm, i.e., almost twelve inches! Western physiologists would no doubt raise their eyebrows at these figures and bring the size back to between 15 and 18 cm (6 to 8 inches). Are the Tantrists boasters or liars? It all depends on how we measure. If we measure the erect penis from the pubis up to the tip, we will get 15 to 18 cm, but if we start from the base of the lingam, at the perineum, the length will be greater.
You can take the measurements yourself, if you do them the Western way. (You'll need a flexible, or fabric, tape measure for the girth. You can divide girth by pi, or 3.14, if you want to know the diameter.) It's even nicer to do the measurements with a lover, which also prevents you from cheating!

Here in Brazil we use the metric system, so what I do is use a regular ruler, measure from the tip of me gregory pecker to my asshole, and multiply it by two just for safety.
Too much more, Planet, and you'll have to strap some counterweights on your backside just to keep from falling on your face! (Kilograms or pounds...?)
BTW, Regis, I forgot to mention that you can also multiply the diameter of your cock rings by pi (3.14) to get a very rough girth estimate (circumference = pi x diameter). It would be a lot more accurate to take an actual measurement, though, if you really need to know.

Seriously, though, it's good for a man to know his size, and even better for his partner to know. That type of information is ever-so-helpful when shopping for toys.
Good intuition Yoga girl. Allow me to ask you to expound on this. I know everyone is different. But if you was on the receiving end of my tool and you or I was shopping for toys, how would my measurements come into play and what would you like to buy?
The answers depend on the type of toy, the materials it's made from, and also your intentions. I have only a little experience with toys, but I'll gladly share what I know.
(1) If the toy is for vaginal penetration, then the length is just as important as the width. I learned this the hard way (no pun intended) with my first vibrator. It has two motors, one at the tip (which goes inside the vagina) and one near the base (which touches the clitoris). My vibe is a full inch shorter than my husband, but it's very unyielding because of its rigid plastic battery case. So even though my husband and I are a perfect fit, I can't easily insert the vibe far enough that the clit motor touches the magic spot. (2) If the toy is for anal penetration, than the width is probably more important than the length. You're right about the shape issue, of course. If you have a highly elliptical cock, you'll perhaps want to make an estimate along the major axis (the widest part of the oval) as well as measuring the average diameter.

Yes, that is a correct statement. It is 3 1/4" wide, but as I've said that is not the average. It is only the widest point. I would say body size is an issue, my clinched fist is almost 5 inches across. I have large parts, or so Charmaine tells me, you know big hands, feet etc.. My girth is unusually large I would guess, and the length is too. But I wouldn't consider this to be unusual but I have had quite a few excited girlfriends and statements when revealing myself to them.
The saddest part of all of this is, I wish it were bigger. And I have a feeling that this is true with most males, I just love shoving my dick into a woman that is two sizes too small for me.
