Now I see it for sale at places it wasn't before. Is this just a stock issue or an edit thing? Isn't there some legal thing with this movie or something? If there is an edited version, anyone have a basic breakdown of what exactly is edited? Is it important to try to get an unedited version or is the edited just fine? [Link] |

He also has referred to the version that everyone is waiting for as the "Collector's Edition". This is supposed to be a 4 disc set. None of the versions from Sex Z's website are 4 disc sets. I won't go into the two versions of Upload currently available, as that's all spelled out in the thread Astro is referring to. Let me just say the new pressings are shipping now, and the XXXX version says "Director's Cut" on it very plainly. SexZ will be posting it once they've filled orders. You'll also be able to buy it from Kylie's online store (http://www.kylieirelandstore.com/) by week's end. As for the different versions of Corruption, we screwed that up last year, and the one marked "Director's Cut" is our attempt at fixing it. This is not a third version of the movie; it's simply the original XXXX cut with special packaging to delineate it from the XXX. And the easiest place to buy it is from Kylie's store or from SexZ's website (though I know several places carry it). As for the recut version with Hillary's fisting scene in it, we've been re-thinking that release. I know as a raging home theater DVD geek the endless double- and triple-dip releases of mainstream titles get me incredibly pissed, so we're leaning towards making the recut version available only on HD-DVD and BluRay. It will most likely still be a four-disc set since there are a ton of extras we didn't have time to finish up for the original release, but right now there are no plans to release it on SD. Lemme just say how stunned and pleased I was upon reading this part of Eli's post. First of all, HD Corruption, baby! I'm so happy to see Sex-Z Pictures finally joining the good fight. I know HD adopters are still in the minority... but what a wonderful, crystal-clear minority it is. And growing, too. Second, I'm interested to read that Sex-Z won't be Blu-ray exclusive. I remember reading an interview with Eli not too long ago. The interview was about a possible HD release of Upload, and Eli was quoted as saying that there didn't seem to be much point in releasing the film on HD-DVD, since Blu-ray looks to be the eventual winner. Now, for the record, I'm currently format-neutral. And I do agree that, in the end, Blu-ray will eventually be the last man standing. However, that "end" is a lot farther away than most people think. I'm glad Eli and Sex-Z apparently realized this and chose the path of least resistance. Why alienate the HD-DVD loyal (read: fanboys) when you don't have to? Eli: Since you mentioned extras for the Corruption HD release, I have to ask: Will the HD release contain all of the extras that are on the SD version, in addition to the new features? The same question applies to a future HD release of Upload. Also, what's the time frame on these releases? If Upload is being released in HD before the end of this year, I'd prefer to wait for that instead of purchasing the SD version. Thanks for all the updates on this board, Eli! And good luck at AVN. We're currently planning on releasing the HD version of Upload at the beginning of next year, probably at AEE. Corruption is a bit more problematic as I have several things that still need to be assembled as additional extras (some of which were shot in SD and will need to be carefully up-converted), but we hope to have that ready for February of next year. Just out of curiosity, how do you release something "at AEE"? Do the big studios actually sell stuff at the show?
