| angelus113 Member 164 Posts 2/10 | I know, I know: provocative title for a post (though truly not meant to be trolling). I think you can see from my profile and previous topics that I'm a real person with a great appreciation for porn. However, I've just read a couple of articles that have put some frightening thoughts in my head. First I saw this piece in the New Yorker magazine about a new "super-bug" strain of oral gonorrhea: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2012/10/01/121001fa_fact_groopman The gist of this quite in-depth article is that even as we've made great strides against HIV and other STD transmission, a pernicious type of oral gonorrhea that actually breeds in the throat and is spread by oral sex (blowjobs mainly) has come into existence. It's drug-resistant and bad enough to already be scaring the CDC. The typical thoughts of irony and cause and effect run through the mind: we've taught generations now that giving or getting head is far safer/preferable to fucking and now this is here. Additionally, the currently very much in-vogue practice of extreme deepthroating and face-fucking would seem incredibly dangerous if this report is true. And as we all know I think, the things we see in porn (anal in the 80s/90s giving way to making it mainstream by now, etc.), do tend to be mimicked in our sexual society. Which would mean there's probably a growing number of people potentially spreading a new supervirus or infection as we speak. So, again, I know gonorrhea usually only (only!) causes reproductive problems, but it can also facilitate HIV transmission...and if the adopters of risky practices are doing other risky things...well, you can see where I'm going with that. Could porn kill us? [Link] |

That is actually a good thing, because bacteria can adapt a lot faster than we can, so the more we mix up our genetic material the better off the species is. As to whether or not porn affects sexual practice, eh, it depends. The Marquis de Sade didn't wait upon the arrival of pornography to get up to all manner of kink. Humans are horny by nature and extremely adaptive - look at how we exploit our environment. That being so, you might make the case for an individual being influenced but extrapolating to the species is a dubious proposition, at best. |

| angelus113 Member 164 Posts 2/10 | As far as understanding the difference between filmed/staged pornographic performances and real life, I think a couple of posters may not have gotten my admittedly indirect point. Hardware did, and rightfully pointed out that my original question blends two things: the new strain of oral gonorrhea supposedly spread by blowjobs and whether viewing and then adopting porn practices (like deepthroating/face-fucking) occurs. I know that most of porn is fantasy for millions who'll never try what they see in it, but I'm still alarmed after reading the article I linked to about millions more who think (and have thought for decades) that sucking a dick is "safe". That just wouldn't appear to be the case anymore. |

So said it is true that many girls do a BJ and only after that they force their partners to wear a condom as if oral sex has no risks , that is for cunnilingus toon, boys go down on women with no concerns but again it is widely done , porn has nothing to do with that , each European language has a variety of words to indicate a blowjob none of them originated from porn Edited by - Laurie Cameron Fan on 11/1/2012 7:20:07 PM |

I guess it's inevitable. Once they ban 32 ounce sodas, porn can't be too far behind. Edited by - randomprecision on 11/2/2012 7:30:51 AM |
| angelus113 Member 164 Posts 2/10 | I can take my lumps. Thanks to all those who replied. But I don't understand how almost any topic posted here, whether about questionable practices or STDs, always comes across as the person simply bringing it up somehow wanting to ban/limit porn. I certainly don't--nor do I care to try and save the Darwin Award winners from themselves--but I think some new facts (like superbugs) do warrant attention. |

Anyone who is paying any attention at all can sense the strong anti-porn vibe that's been going around lately and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out they're up to something. |

| LCF All-Star Member Non Prevalebunt! 10364 Posts 1/05 | I personally know a girl whose preferred sex act is having a man to cum as deep in her throat as he can go, and she's not a porn consumer she just learned this with practice and discovered how much she liked it , that's all furthermore whilst you can get gonorrhea by sucking a dick you can't by having a dick sucked , so how the hell the man got it? With regular UNPROTECTED sex , now I hope you're not going to say that people has sex because they are influenced by porn. I hope you're not goimng to say that people has unprotected sex because of porn either. Now it happens that if a man has gonorrhea he will spread it either vaginally or orally depending on how much time he stays in mouth or in pussy. If you take a partial figure from a much more complex calculation you can prove anything until you got the great number , OK oral gonorreha is spreading but what about regular gonorrhea , what is the incidence among the gay community both gay males or lesbians , what is the incidence among the youngsters , what is the incidence of genital gonorrhea among the heterosexuals? just saying |
