I had always thought that Mark Davis lived with a harem of young girls. While I think that would be fun for a while, I think that would get old quickly. I didn't know that Mark and Ginger were together and I think they make a nice couple. They have so much in common. When I first heard of Jenna Jameson being with Tito Ortiz, I first thought that was an odd pairing. For a guy who was that tough to be with a woman who had fucked so many other guys publically, didn't make sense. However, I realized what it was that they had in common. They both sacrifice their bodies for the entertainment of others. That's giving up a lot becoming more grist for the mill so to speak. They both know that they have a limited shelf life in their careers. So finding someone who understands you completely is priceless. Seeing Mark throw his back out made him seem that much more like a regular guy. I mean, who hasn't hurt themselves in real life and had to take a break or stop? I also like how the clip showed how they brought in Sean Michaels to help out in a DP with Davis and Lucious Lopez, to finish what they started 6 weeks earlier. I also like how the studio got him medical attention, as opposed to not paying him since he couldn't perform. Now it's kind of funny considering my last post on DP's. This wasn't remotely gay to me, even though I'm sure I'd seen these same two guys doing DP's together at least 10 years ago(Whack Attack 1, 1998). This was like one old friend coming to the rescue of a fallen comrade. It made me think of how Forrest carried Bubba out of the jungle in Forrest Gump. They put Mark on his back so he wouldn't hurt himself further. As much as we enjoy porn, it must be hard for these folks to maintain normal lives and relationships much less return to being anonymous once they retire. I got introduced to one of my favorite porn stars by her mother-in-law at a restaurant, and I couldn't let on that I recognized who she was. I also saw another girl at OB-GYN when I was there with my wife, and again, I didn't want to invade her privacy and say I liked her work. I'm not saying that monogamy is the one true and right way, because I know it's not. I'm aware that people enter into relationships that are far from vanilla. But also there are people who are monogamous, because they want to be, and there is nothing wrong with that either. I'm saying the nature of having sex so much, and maybe at times when you don't want to but you have bills to pay is a sacrifice. I perceive the nature of the business to rough on the body, hence the term 'sacrifice.' Now I've always heard that if you want to be happy in life, figure out what it is you enjoy and get paid for it, then it won't seem like work. So maybe what I perceive to be excessively rough, you might percieve to be no big deal. But what I am stating is that I don't see much difference between the porn starlet who books 2 or more scenes a day and wrestler or a boxer.
