Edit 12/30/05: A new company, "DirectVideoAndDVD.com / DirectDVDPlatinum.com" is using the same sales tactics , though with a tiny bit more disclosure (though still confusing to many). They are selling these exact same "scenes/titles/movies/discs". Read updated post at end of thread for more info.

Edit 1/23/04: Apparently they are a MAJOR RIPOFF. A member ordered 10 DVD's and received a SINGLE Comp VHS tape for his money. I left my original posts below, but scroll down to see the bad news.

Original Title: Crazy Benzi - Any experiences?

I am very tempted to order from them. I've received 2 (U.S.) mailings from them.

YOu can select up to 60 DVD sets from them, and if you purchase all 60, they cost 99 cents for each set, plus ~$6 shipping.

The DVD's all appear to be the "Leisure Time Video" / "Executive Video" 7 hour, double disc sets, in their "Super Sevens" and other series.

Looking up the web domain (crazybenzi or crazybenzi-offer) and doing some googling on addresses showed they are indeed registered by LeisureTime/Executive video, so that appears on the up-and-up.

I know what many people think of LeisureTime/Executive comps overall, but at 99 cents for 7 hours there has to be some decent comp scenes contained, won't there?

Has anyone ordered these yet? You can't actually order on their web site (if you submit a CC# you get a SQL error or a page not found, plus it's not even secure so I don't recommend doing it with a non-one-time-use number). But you can mail in a check or money order.

I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with these.. It seems worth it to find a few gems burried I'd hope.

Thanks in advance.

Has anyone any experience with Crazy Benzi? I'm tempted by their prices also, but am worried about

1) their disclaimer that "due to the drastically reduced pricing, crazy benzi must reserve the right to substitute any Video or DVD for a title of equal or greater value."

2) (I was going to give them a try) When you try to order on-line, they use a non-secure website for your credit card information.

Advice or Experience anyone?

Thanks

If something sounds too good to be true, I'd be as suspicious as all hell. Someone could be spoofing a web site in order to collect credit card information (& checks).

I'd suggest that you call or write requesting information before placing an order.

Thanks, GS! I keep getting the mailings - and the reality is that when made in quantity, it doesn't really cost that much to make a CD or DVD.

But I guess I'll wait until I hear from someone who's had experience with them.

Perhaps u and I could make a movie celebrating the Great God Pan? :o)

I wish someone had tried them... I'm still tempted, but wishing others had info.

I see they registered a couple more domains with the same or similar deals: cum-shot-videos.net and both homosexual.bz gang-bangs.net(both now dead) and now crazybenzy.com and crazybenzy-offer.com (both gay offerings)

It's wierd that no one has posted a thing about any of these sites, and the only thing that googles is THIS thread about them and the sites themselves.. nothing else.

I will shy away until I hear from someone that's tried them. It is still interesting they seem registered to LeisureTime which then makes sense and seems 'safe', but I just don't know.

I finally tried the Crazy Benzi offer- 10 dvds for $25 plus shipping. I knew I probably wouldn't get everything I ordered, but I thought I would get a few, and then give away the rest to friends with different interests. I got my order yesterday. It was one VHS tape of scenes from various other sources. Apparently this is the item of equal or greater value. This is a major rip-off. Do not order them. I am guessing there aren't really any DVDs available and this is just a way to unload these less then quality tapes. You can't return your order unless it is defective, and then they will send you a new copy of the same thing. Of course, you pay postage.

Sorry WestSimon,

Let me get this straight. You didn't get a single DVD, just the VHS tape?

I'm SOOOOO Sorry to hear of your problem WestSimon!

I had a feeling it was too good to be true. I didn't think it would be OUTRIGHT FRAUD.

All the pictures showed 7 hour (2x 3.5 hour LeisureTime) DVD's and the descriptions said the same. For them to send you a single VHS comp is outright fraud. I would go to FTC.GOV and file a complaint against them and include all of their aliases, including LeisureTime since thats where the domains are linked to.

I expected, at worst, DVD-R copies possibly. Not this.

I have edited the post to refect the issue, and this should get updated on Google's next index, since this is the only thing other than their sites that shows up on Google.

Again, I am very sorry. I hope you didn't place an order based upon my initial post. And to think I was going to send for all 60 titles :(

Here is the link to file an FTC Complaint: [ invalid url ] (note: Copy and paste to get rid of the extra http:// in front... it has to be https://)

Yep, just one vhs tape. It runs for many hours, but nothing near what I expected or would want. If someone didn't have a tape player they would just be out of luck.

Take a lesson from this.

I am a little disappointed that Leisure Time Video is associated with the scam. I will think twice about using them in the future also.

I think I figured out how they are thinking they can get away with this scam.

They show a pile of 7 hour (double 3.5 hour DVD-9 discs) DVD's. (Note how some are backwards images too :( )

They say you get UP TO 60 titles, and some of the "titles" are actually the names of the 7 hour LeisureTime comp dvd's.

However the implication of some wording COULD lead you to believe that you get a SINGLE DVD or VHS with "up to" 60 titles (aka "scenes" to them).

Clearly the scam is to just send you a single comp tape (or sometimes DVD?) that has up to the # of scenes you select when you think Title implies disc pairs (especially with the use of names of entire discs).

I didn't see it originally, but looking back now I could see how they could claim grey area legalities :(

Anyway, I'm sorry that anyone got taken by this scam. At least this thread is in google and will help others save their money.

Wow, I can't believe I fell for it?!
I should have been prepared.
I haven't got the "VIDEO" yet, but I called the 800 number just to make sure. When I finally (15 minutes) got the girl on the phone, I asked her about how it would come.

~She told me that I paid for 10 "TITLES" not full length DVDS.

~I asked to speak with her supervisor, and she wouldn't give me her name. Only Operator #261.

~I told her I wanted a refund, and she told me that there is NO GUARENTEE. So I just lost $31.00 , oh well. She told me that she ALWAYS LOOKS BETWEEN THE FINE LINES.

~I guess I learned an important lesson. "Sex with a real person is better than porn anyday."

Isn't there a Porno Better Business Bureau ?

Crooks and scam "artists" like that really burn me up!

There should be something we could do to close them down.

Maybe we should start a not-for-profit organization and use it to petition the Attorney General of the state in which these crooks are located. Start our own Porno Better Business Bureau ?

If I ever get to be KING, these bastards would lose their heads!

Can you post an address or phone number for Crazy Benzi?

They cashed my check for $64.80 and then Leisure Time
sent me a request for $6.00 more for shipping.

That was a month ago and I haven't gotten anything yet!

Leisure Time DVDs are a rip off anyway, got two supposedly watersports titles, supposedly 4 hour each.

One had brief pissing scenes and was about 100 minutes long, the other one was 90 minute and had no pissing/watersports whatsoever.

And yes the content on both DVD was awful as well.

I will never buy a Leisure Time product again!

Thanks for the try Surfboy, but neither webpage allows you to e-mail or contact Crazy Benzi except for a new order. I tried to fake an order, but it wants a valid credit card before it will complete the transaction.

so I still need some way to contact these people

And if I get a good address I'll also fill out the fraud complaint posted earlier. These guys really need to be put out of business!

Actually it doesn't need a valid credit card.. It does VERY rudimentary checking. Simply enter the correct digit for the last character (1 of 10 combinations, obiously) and you can get it to "accept" the first page, but you then get a SQL Server error, and it has been that way since day one when I first *almost tried* to get this, with a 1 time use valid credit card number. It doesn't give you any information on the second page. It also, of course, isn't secure, but they obiously couldn't even get it configured right to capture your card number!

I didn't see the https:// that should be on a website with a secure server when you order with a credit card.
Then I'd never order stuff off someone who was flipping me the bird either.

Well, today I received 6 7-hour DVDs. That's about $11 per DVD, which isn't bad. But I haven't look at any of them yet, so I'll tell you in a few days what goes.

Strange that nothing in the box etc. identifies Crazy-Benzi.
In fact it's L.T.E, which we know is Leisure Time Enterprises.

I ordered this stuff back in December and when it didn't come for over a month I had my check photocopied from the bank. You can't read any of the info on the back of the check, so I couldn't trace the source (and neither could my bank.)

So I'm still very suspicious. But I'll check out one of the DVDs this weekend.

Maybe I'll have to eat Crow.
I watched 3 scenes of about 45 minutes each from
1 of the DVDs and they're as good as most stuff I
find. No plot, just lots of variety in 'doing it'.

It appears that I will get more than I expected
for 9.95 from each of 6 DVDs and 6.00 P&H.

Did they see our gripes, or was it simply a longer
than usual delay in getting my shipment.

I don't know. But what I saw on the first DVD was
worth the money.

I have a feeling that word got back to them about this chain of complaints. Another way of proceeding would have been to complain of fraud through the US Postal System. As they use the mails, they could be pursued for fraud (tedious and maybe not that effective, but it might be possible to stop them from using the US mails).

Well, I was captivated by the ad I received in the mail today, myself. I'm glad I did some research first and I had my doubts about any ad that has a picture of some greaseball shooting the bird at the camera. I always get on to my roommate because he tries to bargain shop for porno videos. He ends up with five or six very old videos with poor quality. I'd rather pay $60 for one good quality video than $60 for five low quality videos. :-)

WOW, do I wish I had done a Google before I fell for their 10 DVD's for $25 offer. My gut was telling me it was too good to be true. And my suspicion was aroused by the fact that their website has no contact information - address, email or phone number. They sure are in a hurry to get paid, though. Two minutes after I submitted the order I checked my bank account and they had already debited it. Knowing what I know now I will monitor my account on a daily basis to look for "mysterious" additional charges. I'll give them a couple weeks, and then I'll fill out that FTC complaint form. You guys provide a good service. Keep up the good work.

I Fell for this offer to, I found the offer in the Back of Penthouse magazine. So I am wondering if I wrote to penthouse if they'd have any info Because to place the ad I'm sure they had to give Penthouse their contact info right? I will check into this and see if it does any good. I notice the Crazi Benzi sites dont work anymore Hmmmmmmm how odd right? I hate being ripped off.

It seems that everything is coming from Direct Video & DVD. The ads are sent from:
P.O. Box 64827
Gary, IN 46401-0827

and the orders go to:

P. O. Box 10688
Merrillville, IN
46411-0688

They've got a bunch of new stuff that's priced at $3.95 per DVD (plus $1 shipping) if you order 20 or more videos. [ But as we all know, there will be 10 or more videos on a 4-7 hour DVD. ]

The real problem is whether you can get what you want or not. I'm making a final test with an order of 32 videos, for which I'm supposed to get another dozen or so free.

I made the order today, and I'll let you know what I get etc. as soon as it arrives. Hopefully it won't take two months this time!

I don't know what's the big deal here. You could get these 'SuperSeven'-DVDs from Leisure on most adult online stores for about 10 bucks or lower. That's $1 per title if you calculate it like this.
Yesterday I got one from AdultDVDNow as free item with their 'Buy 3 Get One For Free' option!

The "rip-off" here is the fact that ALL of the ads lead you to believe you are receiving at total of 60, 7 hour DVDS (technically 120 3.5 hour dvds) for a total of $60.

They fool you by showing stacks of 7 hour double-disc DVD's as the way Leisure Time sells them and then go on to list 60 "titles" some of which exactly match the "title" of the 7 hour DVD's, while many do not.

Therein lies the scam. When was the last time you purchased an adult dvd where "each scene" is a "title"? That's the scam. They are selling you 60 SCENES not 60 TITLES.

It's clearly set up to fool any resonable adult. If they're selling scenes, then sell scenes, not "titles" which implies whole discs.

warthog, why do you keep giving them your money when you know they are ripping people off?

for those of you who don't read the first forum, we have stopped listing leisure time dvds on our site because they're all a rip off.

Well, I got my order and sure enough it was just one tape, not the 10 I expected. So I got screwed, but not in a good way. I guess I'll just have to take this as a lesson and never do business with a company that hides its address and makes offers that are too good to be true.

I'd always been curious about this, but it did sound too good to be true to me. Glad I didn't take the bait and thanks to ADT for showing us the light! Reminds me of the "bonus video" offer from Adam & Eve, which is just scenes as well.

Bump -- New info

Another new 'company' is pulling this scam. It's not their only source of sales, but is a portion of it.

You may have received in the mail a flyer from "DirectVideoAndDvd" or "DirectDVDPlatinum". Add a .com to either and they point to the same site.

They are selling all the 4, 7, 8, 21 (3x7), 24 (3x8) hour comp tapes from LeisureTime.

Also, ala Crazy Benzi, they have a section dedicated to selling "titles" on one page, "scenes" on the other.

In the first case, it's the EXACT SAME PICTURES AND TEXT as on the CrazyBenzi site. They sell you each "title" for 99 cents. They then state all 10 for $9.95.

The next column has similar ones where you pay 5 cents per SCENE or $1.10 per title. The small print goes on to say only good when you purchase ALL of them together. 200 SCENES per "movie", 9 "titles" per SKU = $9.95.

So yet another company playing liberal games with the definition of a:

- SCENE (apparently a subset of a 'title', or say 2 mins -- good grief!! (7 hr * 60 min / 200 scenes = 2.1 mins)
- TITLE (not a "disc" but rather a 'session', or 10-30 mins)
- MOVIE (an entire multi-hour disc containing titles or scenes)

It is of course confusing, and meant to be. At least the extra text and finer print from these guys does expose their game, unlike Crazy Benzi (that is still operating over 2 years later :( ).

Oh yeah, the other scam this place does is prominently place pricing of $5 per disc (for their other non-crazy benzi type offers), but in fine print says it excludes a lot of them and requires purchase of at least 20 to get that price, otherwise $8.95/$9.95 each. There probably are more fine print that I didn't spend the time reading.

Just wanted to post this to keep others from falling into the same trap from these LTE scamming resellers. (The videos are bad enough, the sales tactics are even worse)
