It looks their doing most films from the VHS era of porn.
Weren't most of them shot on tape? isn't it harder to restore/scan tapes to something like 2k or 4k for a Bluray?

Tape sources will never be 2K, let alone 4K. If the master tapes haven't degraded, which would be a huge question, you can get better than a DVD, but nothing one would consider high definition.
I know some people are going to point out that there are programs that will, but they really don't. They just guess at what should be there. It isn't a true master at that point.
