yup but that didnt last long. preston parker said when he shot his first scene for bangbros in 2004 (only a year after the site launched and before online porn really exploded) it took about a day before people from his hometown were contacting his parents about seeing him on it.
Interesting. I'd not heard that before. I'd've thought the relative anonymity would have lasted longer, maybe until 2009 or 2010. That being said, I doubt that COHF drew near amount of traffic that BangBros did, so maybe the thoughts of relative anonymity were still present. Or maybe they figured everyone in their lives knew what their primary source of income was and figured a bukkake video wouldn't take many by surprise. Shrug. i think the industry over the past 25 years (and OF especially) have shown that the big barrier isnt finding the women, its the travel expenses (the unfortunately short live texasbukkake had the same set up as cohf and they were able to find women from all over the us and canada).
unfortunately the big problem w/ porn production in the US is its determined by state and local laws. COHF in fact moved production to canada b/c ray gun got sued for making porn in florida-local authorities found out what he was doing and said it 'violated community standards' (ironically they actually sued him AFTER hed moved production to canada).
theres a reason that you see major porn production in la, vegas, and miami, but not new york city (the biggest city by population in the country) chicago (3rd most populous) or houston (4th)-and its local and state laws prohibiting it.
Travel expenses noted. Good point. I think the bigger thing with OF is this: Note that many performers appear to be working with only one partner. In other words, they don't mind sucking and fucking on camera, they just don't want to do it with some rando the producer just pulled off the street and they just met. That they gets to choose the partner also makes their enthusiasm more credible.

imo thats more of a money issue-lowering the overhead by not having to pay for a fellow performer (same reason 'collab' scenes are so popular-neither performer has to pay the other but they both get the video to sell on their sites).
There are examples that COHF girls are regular and sussessful porn model. E.g. Milene from "Milena Ceashes" is actual Brazil pon actress Milene Rispoli who appears in 18 movies
