^ I read this too today, it's admirable to see that she has recovered physically and mentally to find the confidence to return to the industry. Even if she did not make the decision to return to the industry it's great news either way that she has recovered at all, not all women who went through such a horrific experience would be able to. I found it most telling of the Twitter "Feminists" that they have all been to happy to espouse the rights for apparent equality of women and go all damsel when they apparently receive a bit of online abuse, but when this story broke none of them said a fucking word because it didn't fit in with their anti-porn agenda. Rape doesn't count as rape when it's a porn star it seems. Their true colours were revealed after this that's for damn sure. We saw the same radio silence after the Christy Mack incident too. "All women deserve to be treated equally and make their own choice and defended against patriarchal dominance...unless you're a sex worker" . Anyways, now that's off my chest. Back to the positive - Cytherea returns .
^ I can't speak for the twitterverse since I wasn't on it when the news about Cytherea's assault first broke, but I can say that here on ADT plenty of feminists (such as myself) voiced our support for her. Also, nice non-sequitur dude.
^^ I couldn't agree more. Female sex workers are no less human and no less deserving of respect or justice than those who aren't in the industry. Whatever disagreement people may have with porn actresses, retired or active, people should never forget that there's a chance she is somebody's daughter, sister, mother, good friend, etc.
1. This conversation already happened earlier in this thread, where I pointed out that *all* media seemed to be silent on the issue. I expressed my concern that feminist/sex worker sites who normally do report on stuff like this were eerily silent. Morbid Thoughts made a couple of good points as to why people may not have reported on it. 2. There was a ton of press and social media activity, much of it from feminist sources, supporting Christy Mack. Your comment is simply untrue. Your critique of the silence in some quarters is well taken, however. It is garden variety slut shaming and whorephobia. It can be found all over the internet and in the world as a whole and is something feminists and sex workers have been fighting against for some time. Welcome to the movement. To clarify, I was specifically referring to the self-righteous, pontificating SJW's like Anita Sarkeesian, Jonathan Macintosh, Briannu Wu, and Arther Chu on Twitter, not the media in general. I am aware that the other media outlets covered the stories in a more positive light, or at least had the decency to bring it to the attention of the world at large. The people I'm specifically referring to, and their hapless, ignorant, dumbass minions made it their business to promote themselves as beacons of feminism all over Twitter, grasping at straws anywhere they looked to prove their apparent points. But that is all they have done or ever did. When it came to the time when their apparent support for women that they claim to espouse was actually really needed, they all went dark and waited for the whole matter to blow over, because it involved a) a porn star, who by default do not fit in with their definition of feminism even though they are typically women making choices independent and irregardless of the social stigma, and b) young black offenders, who do not fit in with their 'Oppressive privaleged white middle class patriarchal society on women' stance. In essence neither of the fundamental facts of the crime could be reconciled with their blissfully ignorant world view on feminism, which essentially means they did not have an answer for what happened that would not undermine them and make them look like the ill-informed morons they really are. Hence the silence. I hope that clarifies what I was pointing out.

^ I can foresee a tidal wave of trolling and abuse being directed her way by her decision to return after what she went through, but I would imagine she would be anticipating this anyway and hopefully will be strong-willed enough not to let it affect her.

This woman returning to porn at this point is the epitome of every cliche about the type of woman who does porn. Given her overall history, anyone thinking this damaged soul of a woman returning to porn is a good idea is just mean. There is nothing good to be achieved by this return.
You might want to go look at her interview video again because if you truly believe that her returning to shooting any kind of porn is a good idea than you need to have your moral compass fixed. That video was cringed worthy on so many levels. Especially the part where she's talking about doing an interracial scene right after getting raped by black men. Her body language, the pitch of her voice scream Help Me. I can`t imagine what her financial situation is but if doing porn is one of the only ways she can earn a living than that is sad. Her relationship with porn has never been all that good to begin with so I really hope she can find another job than doing porn.

I have to admit I have not seen the video, but regardless if it's her decision it's her decision and we will either like it or loathe it but going to the extent so as to question somebody's mental state of somebody you don't know simply because their view does not align with yours is excessively judgmental.
^^&^^^Where exactly did you read that Rosco or I didn't support Cytheria? Just because we express a desire for her to do anything but porn does not equal that we don't support her. I think we took the more humane approach in saying that her return to doing any kind of porn is a terrible idea for a woman who is still clearly in distress. If you didn't see her interview then please do so before commenting again. Otherwise none of your arguments make sense.

I watched her new scene and I think Brazzers could have done a lot better casting job by coming up with a different male lead. I've never seen the guy before but on a scale of one to 10 with 10 being the highest I can't even put him on the scale. Is there such a thing as a negative rating? She has much better scenes available on Brazzers than this new one.
^ Scene was pretty hot to me. Jordi is kind of new (kind of) but he is getting there fast and is already starting to outperform some of the male veterans twice his age. Glad to see her back. Cytherea has been in my top 5 favorites for years.
