You cannot sympathize a rape victim and at the same time state that raping is a fantasy! It doesn't make sense. The rapers by definition are not the people you want. They aren't always look like male Gods or have bodies like trained athletes. They are not passionate lovers or experienced male porn stars. They don't care about your pleasure or your feelings in general. If you are lucky you will not end up in a hospital or worst dead in a nearby dumpster. If you are lucky you will be free of serious STD and your reproduction organs will remain intact. If you are lucky you will remain psychologically and sexually sane and you will manage to bury the incident and continue with your life. If you are lucky and you talk to your relation he will understand you and he will not dump you for a dozen wrong reasons. Again. Raping is not a sexual fantasy. The phrase "I want to be raped" is fundamentally contradictive. You cannot want something that is against your will. This is an oxymoron. The very moment the element of “will” is added into the equation from the side of a rape victim, the words rape and victim lose immediately their meaning. This is where the advocates of rapists stay in order to absolve their clients from the accusations. PS. btw I totally agree with that article but not in the same sense you do. I have lived some special moments during my relations that totally justify the article. In fact, I am sure that some of them you will find quite interesting. I am not going to delve into the feminist/porn debate, because there isn't a right answer for everyone in that debate. People for some reason seem to think that what someone does in the privacy of there own home directly impacts them, even though they wouldn't know about it if they were not told by an outside source. It matters not to them who I am fucking as long as they are of age and as long as neither of us are hurting anyone who does not want to be hurt. And yes, there are people who get off on pain. I am not sure when it started, but at some point, a differing point of view was no longer an opinion, but an attack on one's person, healthy civil debate seems to be disappearing rapidly and if you are of another mind, you are not to be associated with. I see many parallels to Germany in the 20's and 30's, it's a bit disturbing. It is an interesting debate. I hear that more laws and more rights need to be in place, but that really isn't so. The laws are already in place but the courts system is so broken that it cannot function properly. Mandatory minimums, in my opinion, were partially a reaction to that. Somewhere along the way things shifted, It was understood when I was small that you lost your rights to everything but food and water when you committed a crime. There is virtually zero accountability anymore if you have enough cash, the flip side to that is that some people regardless of income see that and even though they can't possibly get away with it, think they can because others have. I really can't see things getting better before they get much much worse unless there's an awakening of basic compassion and loss of greed. I am not holding my breath, there are a lot of unpleasant people with a distorted view of normal, including me. The difference is most of us don't take ours outside with us.
