Why? Well, this might sound dumb but I just didn't find the plot all that interesting, and I mean that according to feature porn standards. Also, since the storyline was such blah the special effects seemed like a waist of money as it did nothing to really enhance the film for me. I just kept thinking, "So, is Nic Andrews trying to show-off for mainstream producers that might hire him for some shitty Skinimax film?"

As for the sex, I liked Destiny, Karina, and August's scenes. I was surprised that Sunny only did one scene.

Also, the heroine as a waitress motiff kept reminding of Linda Hamilton in Terminator, with Karina Kay playing a composite of Sara Connor's roommate and co-worker. Then when she fired guns it reminded me of Terminator 2. But I grew up on those films so it's hard for me to escape making such comparisons.

I do have to say that my role as the bum is one of the best of the year. This was my forth time playing "BUM" I think I nailed it.

The sequel, however, suffers the same fate as so many other sequels. The story was a bit light on in substance. I think Barret Blade was terribly miscast as the lead vampire. The first four sex scenes were basically shot in the dark and three of them resulted in tame cumshots to the girl's stomach or chest - I felt like it was 1979 again [sorry Joey - no pubic hair to speak of!] and blow me down, when I turned off the dvd the 'series return' of Quincy ME was on primetime commercial tv here in Oz as the replacement for JAG [what the fuck is going on - am I trapped in a time warp!].

Sunny Lane is incredibly cute, but she can't be expected to carry a movie on her own - partcularly when she only has one sex scene. The tease factor only goes so far, although her scene on the hood of the car is a good scene.

The movie really needed another one or two big name female performers and nastier sex to go with the great special effects.

Right from the first scene, the "FUCK PIRATES" graffiti on the wall seemed too juvenile and negative to me. Sorry, Nic, you had your chance to make big-budget Digital Playground movies. Don't be bitter that they went on without you.

Otherwise, I'm pretty much with everyone else on this one. Sunny Lane is awfully cute in her role, but she has about one expression in the movie, and in most scenes it's not the appropriate one. The dialogue isn't very good and sometimes very poorly delivered.

The best thing about the movie is the action. There are some pretty good kills, with some decent effects (along with some cheap ones). But while that kind of stuff can add to a porn movie, it can't make a movie.

And the key error from a porn perspective: you can have a male head vampire in a "Blade" movie -- which is what this is really emulating -- but in porn it makes no sense for the lead not to be a woman. Barrett Blade is no Sydnee Steele.

the FX were nice, the movie looked good, I thought Sunny came off really good....

then every-15-second-fades during the sex scenes kinda stopped them dead in their tracks as soon as you realize it and start looking for 'em...

it was ok, but really had the potential to be a lot better...
