Optically she fits nicely , but she is not Latina according to the standard definitions .

Her roots are Cherokee, African-American, Caucasian and Vietnamese .
Apparently she has no trace of Levantine ancestry even though her name would hint at that .

Interestingly many Latinas have the mix of Native Indian , Afro and White . That´s why Aaliyah looks so similar to them .
I mean it´s really close since she has Amerindian roots . Theoretically a non-mixed South American Native Indian is closer to Aaliyah than to a South American who has only Spanish ancestry . ( I know , the term Latina is problematic )

On a sidenote , I think it´s interesting that she chose to identify more as a black girl than any of her other roots . She has even said on Twitter that she doesnt´get why there are some black porn girls who are darker than herself but who try to hide their Afro ancestry , while she herself tries to promote it .

Maya , Jada and Havana were already known to me . As I checked the other ones I found out that I even had posted on Calypsa´s thread 4 years ago , but unfortunately she did not stay in my memory .

Facts : Jada is half Mexican and half Black .
Maya is not far away from that ( apparently ) since her roots are black, white, Mexican and Italian .
She has stated that she chose the name Maya because of the ancient Meso_american culture .
